Build of my JKU

My choice came down to Dynatrac/Fusion/UD60's. Having already had a set of Dynatracs and seeing the quality upfront is ultimately what nudged them over the others. I came close to getting the Fusion 60/14 bolt set but the price point was pretty much the same so I deferred to the previous point. If I ever thought I'd go the V8 conversion route the Fusion set is probably the way I would have gone to get the added pinion strength of the 14 bolt rear. The UD60's can't be knocked either - a lot of guys are running these now with zero issues and love them. If you can get a deal on any of the 3 you'll be really happy with them regardless. The peace of mind you'll have is a really great feeling. Changing axles in parking lots sucks balls.

As far as the XD60 I wasn't really in the market for those. Maybe someone that's running them can answer why they feel it's best.

I know Spicer have fix the past issues, but man I have been searching the forum and not until recently can you find a good comment about them and that concerns me.

I completely agree with Ddays above. I went with Fusion because of previous experience with two other sets of their axles and was extremely impressed. I went with the 14 bolt with dreams of a 6.4 in there some day.

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of those setups. The UDs, Dynatracs, and Fusions are all outstanding and will handle what ever you throw at it. The best advise I can give is to do it as best as you can afford. Otherwise, somewhere down the line you’ll end up upgrading again and guys like West coast Jerry get to Benefit!! But the piece of mind of pushing these Jeeps and not worrying about the axles is worth ever penny you put into them.

Aren't Fusions made local to you and was that important when making your decision on axles?

That’s why I first went with them back in 17’. Then I ordered this last set because of the quality and how well the first set held up even for a semi float.

We’re the twisted shafts in Moab stock Rubi shafts also?

If I lived out west I would have gone the one ton route also. So many awesome places to ride out there!

BTW, have you looked at the RCV 300M rear shafts? I don’t know anything about them though.

Yeah stock shafts out in Moab on my buddies as well. I bent both mine in Sand Hollow but it was worth it LOL. I did look at the RVC but for $1600 I'll passed. I picked up a set of Carbons and they should be here by Wednesday and those are just a patch fix till I pull the trigger on the 60's. Now , I got to see what I can sell my complete front PR44 and stock rear axle with method beadlocks.

I don’t think you’ll have trouble off loading the PR44 and beadlocks.

There are other options but there are a lot of 'ifs':
A FF rear can be had in either 5.5x5 or 8x6.5 lug patterns so you'll need new wheels regardless.
From there it depends on what you're ultimate ending point for you Jeep is gonna be.
If 37's are the end goal, the dreaded Teraflex makes a front lockout hub conversion kit in 5x5.5 or 8x6.5 so a FF PR60 could pair with your PR44 front. Spyntec makes them as well.
I looked into this for a long time but figured since I'm getting new wheels I'd just make the plunge and never have to worry about either axle again by going to the 60's front & rear..

Eddie also ran Rubicat with conversion spacers on their PR44 front so that's doable.

Now if you're answer is 40's, throw all of that out the window, hold your nose & make the plunge to 60's

So I went back and checked out both hub conversion. If the 8 lugs was a different company I would really consider doing that in the front. I watched the whole Teraflex install video and it seems so simple.

Sometimes it’s cool to be the guinea pig! Sometimes not. Not sure on this one.

That’s not something I would want to be the Guinea pig on. And if it doesn’t work out, you’d loose the value those axles have to recoop

Can’t commit but out of curiosity what would you want for the PR44 Alan?
Well, I installed it in March 2020 maybe has 10k miles on it. It has 5.13s, ARB locker, Nitro 35 spline shafts, Dynatrac ball joints and Synergy tierod and will include stock knuckles and brakes. I don't know on price yet I need to check so its fair to both parties.

Sounds nice let me know. JK axle will bolt into the front of the WJ seems like a cool idea to bolt in parts from one of the rescue Jeeps.

Ok so a few questions for the PR60s so I can keep my eye out for sales.

My Methods have been great and I might go with the same wheel but I am liking the KMC crawls. Currently running 3.5 backspacing. With the 60s what backspacing or offset do I need?

Do I need to add the lower Evo Rockstar coil over mount on the 60?

PSC....what do you recommend? I see a few options.

I’m running 72” wide axles with the methods and I clear the frame fine with the 40 TGs. That’s paired with an 8” ram from PSC.

I think the methods are 4.5” BS.

I did not know you had a 72 wide axles...Nice... Is the 68.5 gonna be a problem on 40s with 4.75 backspacing you think?

I am waiting on a quote and a few answers and wont be pulling the axles off till the 1st of the year. I am also waiting for the ( Hey, don't forget you need this part as well for $$$ more.)

I forgot to add I will include the front King steering stabilizer with the the PR44. I am thinking 5300 for complete front.
I'm thinking $2500 for complete stock rear 44 with new Carbon shafts and with 5.13s.
Methods Wheels and and just maybe the 37 Coopers for 1700 together.

I know if I am asking too much you guys will tell me.
