Bruiser

So today I replaced both rear OEM axle shafts with Revolution 4340 chromolies that I bought from @Disciple Off Road. Forgot to take pictures of the of the install. OEM splines looked pretty good with very little twisting— I’m not typically heavy on the throttle at all. Driver bearing was rolling a little rough and both flanges were bent. Took him for an easy test drive, up to 55, and it felt much better.

We’re going out tomorrow and so I’ll have some freeway miles and will see how they feel at 75.

Nice! I have a set in the garage I need to get installed too

Since I removed my chiiinabumper and switched to the EVO quarter pounder, amazing bumper btw, I’ve been limited to just headlights. While the OEM LED’s are actually pretty bad ass, I’ve been missing the filler that the OEM fogs provided. Luckily, @benatc1 was selling his KC ERA 4’s and I bought them from him (I seem to buy most of his hand me downs… šŸ˜‚). He sent them with the amber covers and CA compliant covers šŸ˜‚. I plan on running with the ambers for the most part. Anyway, I’m happy to finally have some nice auxiliary lighting and am looking forward to some night runs, in the snow or otherwise. Thanks Ben!

Looks sweet with those Trail Grapplers. And, I’m a big fan of the 1/4 pounder too but like my lights up on the A-Pillar to keep the bumper looking extra clean. I love the look of the Flex Era 4s though šŸ‘

Maybe it’s not so good for me 🤪. Glad they worked out, I got that spare amber cover I’ll bring to the NY run and give ya too. The one my kids hid in our Xmas tree box a year ago šŸ˜‚

Thanks, Presley! Yeah, I’m loving the TG’s so far. Looking forward to trying them out in the snow. I do have some 3ā€ cube LED’s for the A-pillar, just haven’t found brackets I like yet… that and I really hate wiring. šŸ˜‚

Well, it’s a good thing because you get most of your money back to apply to the new stuff. That’s cool, would be nice to have a spare for sure. Thank you. šŸ‘šŸ»

The JL does have a funky setup, no bolts on the A-pillar haha - all you got is something that wraps around or sits atop the cowl or the windshield hinge bolt.

I found some nice minimalist brackets on Quadratec but they were/are back ordered. Like you said, they attach to the hood hinge the cowl bolts. I’ll set them up as soon as I get them. The cubes I have are flood so I’ll use them as ditch lights of sorts.
