Looks so much better with the fixed fencing and cleanup! Are you guys considering moving down there?
I don't know. We really like it down there and have actually been talking to a contractor to see what we'd be looking at to build something.
Did more work on the fence line. Here are some before and after shots.
There was a total breach in the barbed wire down on the southwest corner.
Here's what it looks like after I made repairs and strung up new wire.

Another project we've been working on is cleaning up the stable and bringing it to a point of arrested decay. Essentially, stabilize it enough so that it won't fall down and make a few improvements to it so that it's useable. Here's a few shots of what it looked like when we bought the property.
After cleaning up all the crap (no pun intended - there was tons of horse poop everywhere), junk, 4 pallets of cedar shakes and organized some of the more usable wood, this is what it looked like.
Of course, this is where we started to see real help needed to happen.
Before we could start fixing things, we had to pull everything out.
Then it was time to break out the heavy equipment.
After busting up the existing concrete, a new footing could be installed.
Still got one more to go but here's how things are looking now.

Pardon my ignorance, is this property part of where your big shop is? Or did I see something awhile back about you & Cindy buying some other property? We've been way wrapped up in other business and I simply don't remember.

. Gotta admit, besides the whole lay of the land, those old prospects caught my eye 
(been a recreational prospector over 3 decades). Though I'm late, we congratulate Cindy and you on finally achieving your dream

Congratulations. I just realized what this thread is about. As much as I enjoy full time travel I still frequently think about land and a shop. Seeing the posts and pictures brings back memories of working on a few ranches in my younger years. I am glad I had the opportunity to do it. As said here previously it is much more rewarding when doing it for yourself.

Looks good. Where did you get those footers with the metal strap in them? I literally had to do the same thing this summer on one of my upper decks with rotted 6x6 post bottoms. I ended up pouring footers and installing anchor bolts that went into post brackets. Something like that would have been handy.
Got them at Lowes Hardware. They’re meant to be footings for a deck
