ZERO TOPAZ

One of the many projects that Cindy has been working on has been to clean up and covert the old stable into a nice hangout patio bar. As you may recall, this is what it looked like when we first bought the place.

And, after a lot of work, we got all the crap cleaned out of it and did some repairs to help ensure it won't fall down.

Now, after a LOT of hard work digging the compacted ground by hand, removing large rocks - by hand and leveling the ground - by hand, building retaining walls and thresholds - by hand and using sand and rocks laying around the property... this is what the stable looked like.

After what seemed like forever or at least, the better part of summer, Cindy could finally lay in some flagstone.

Filling in the gaps. Fortunately, there is an ample supply of the flagstone at the south end of the property. The hard part is getting it up to the stable in a wheelbarrow LOL. Still a bit of a ways to go but this is what it's looked like now or at least, as of this weekend.

She was really hoping to get this done before winter but there's definitely a chill in the air now and we might have to wait till spring. Bummer.
That’s looking really nice!!
Good job!

Yea I hear ya, it’s pretty cold up here this morning, dash snow yesterday too. Winter is definitely on its way
Crazy, ain't it! I swear, we were just working out at the ranch on Friday and well beyond sundown in shorts and a t-shirt. I'm pretty sure it was 79-80 degrees out and then Saturday was full blown winter - just like that HA!! Clearly, a northern Nevada kind of thing 🤪

Looks like a great place to enjoy tasty adult beverages and stare at the Ranger TV🔥!

Nah it's been like that down here also. Need the heater at night and most of the morning, then gotta turn the ac on

If I wasn't delivering this so far away from you and it had the bucket or a clamp on it, I would drop it off for you to use. But I would probably get in trouble 🤣

Thats fucking rad... The hard work really shows. Maybe you guys will get lucky & this will just be first Winter and only last a week or two before second Fall arrives & warms things back up again for a month or so.

Thank you. Hoping you're right and we get a few more nice days. Unfortunately, between SEMA and the holidays coming up, our time is typically all spoken for this time of year. But, you know we'll try our hardest to get out there if we can :)

And then there was none! It took the better part of 2 months (working on and off of course) and about 8 full loads of the dump trailer but... the old barn site is finally cleared of all the debris. As a reminder, here's a shot of what we started with.

Slowly but surely, I loaded everything into our dump trailer and made trip after trip to the dump.
