Windrock - 24-25 OCT 15

Weather looks good to me. 20% chance of rain on Friday and 60% PM showers on Saturday. There is plenty of tree coverage at the campground and I'll be bringing a tarp to hang up. I'm sure Trevor will bring his pop up, too, so there should be plenty of dry places to chill out if it does rain. I've come to expect rain every time I go camping because it seems to follow me.

Mastercraft MTs, they're the same as the Cooper Discoverer STTs, Cooper makes Mastercraft they are just a tad cheaper.

Haha well not everyone can have 40s lol

Yea I use to work for cooper tire a long time ago and remember building those tires. They will last a long time if you keep them rotated.

True. I have had to spend so many days and nights in the rain with uncle Sam, I tend to shy away from it when I can. I guess I am scarred for life now. Lol

Yup I planned on grabbing the pop up.

That is completely understandable. I know my wife would love to have another lady out there camping. The past couple of outings, she has had to hang out with the guys. Lol.

Yea I plan on it, tires are expensive! I don't wanna keep buying them if I can help it lol

So what's everyone's thoughts on food for dinners? I'll be happy to bring a bag of charcoal and we can grill out both nights. Maybe everyone just brings what they would want to throw on it. Be happy to man the grill too.

That sounds good to me man!

That sounds like a good idea. I will confirm our lodging decision in a few days.

Just wanted to let everybody know I'm gonna have to pull out of this trip, took my driveshaft to the driveline shop today, looks like it's gonna be pretty expensive to fix. Not really in the budget right now, and you can't really go to Windrock without 4wd..... SUCKS!!! Hope you guys have a great trip, and take lots of photos.

So far I am snagging camping spots for RebelconJK, 09Petry, myself, and possibly JSTJPN. Is that it for campers?

Edit: RebelconJK is out.

I put a Tom Wood rear driveshaft on mine. Lighter and 30% stronger than stock. The cost was $700 for the 1350 or $500 for the 1320.

I have the JE Reel 1350 front and rear driveshafts, i thought the u-joints were just bad in it, come to find out the yoke had about a half inch of play in it. so that has to be replaced.

This will be my signal for the start of the night ride.

Awesome. I'm now expecting a spotlight to be on top of your jeep!

Does anyone know if there are public showers at the campground? Or at least a lake/river close by? I'm thinking of possible camping and sleeping in the jeep on Friday night.
