You guys had a great gathering out there in Moab!
Now here we had our JES into the wilderness of Carpathian Moutains right in the middle of the country.
Some pics of our recon tour bellow:
Enjoy
some snow up there
small part of our last week-end playground
morning little flex
a lot of mud and bellow a mozaic
mountain houses in a very remote location
this was part of our welcome package from the gods - a virtual welcome gate into our JES
This is not Easter Island but wood art up into the mountains
present and past
the horn with the Easter egg on it (silence please?)
getting more and more muddier

what a view between the clouds
and after all the mud some dust is what we need (complete spa treatment for JK)

and some pics from yesterday and today when we paid tribute to one of our greatest Jeep fans (the owner of the kaiser bellow which passed away to quick):
R.I.P and ride on my friend, ride on!
and tomorrow like this guy here....back to work!

Hi Folks
we're back from our last Western Balkans Jeep Tour (3800 Km so far) and bellow some pics from our tour
Countries: Romania - Serbia - Montenegro - Croatia - Bulgaria
Next year: Macedonia - Albania - Greece - Turkey
Hope you'll enjoy the pics:
First we crossed Danube to Serbian shores and keep it close to the Danube cause temp here were about 40C in the shadow:
Another Citadel Conquered on Serbian Shores
Arriving at night in Durmitor National Park in Montenegro and crossing the second largest canyon after Grand Canyon - Tara River Green Canyon
More then 100m deep bellow our Jeep
The bridge over Tara Canyon
And the same Canyon from another angle
Towards Durmitor National Park
Having a short drink: 2% alcohol vs 7% alcohol
Up on the trails in Durmitor Mountains

what's next?
..a bit of crawling around to get a better view...
..or to join forces with this very old Russian truck still in function
...or admiring such picturesque landscapes
...well we decided to move further towards another Canyon smaller but also spectacular to admire from our Jeep
..and here we are....
now from top down scouting for water and some lakes ....down under...
....funny stuf... water in this lake is just temporary guest...in summer the lake bed becomes green and later dry...but green
..but we didn't give up and scouted for the green-blue famous waters and we were lucky...
....going through the earth like mouses...
..admiring from the edges this greenish wonder....
...unbelievable but true colours...
...more 2 come...keep close...

..and yet another fortress glued to that mountain....the longest stone wall in Europe (Stone Village - Croatia)
..tranquil atmosphere all over...
.
...a rare delta in the Balkans admired from above..they cultivate oranges and mandarins ...
..Ancient Venetians cities almost at every corner...(Trogir city - UNESCO world heritage - near Split)
....having a walk late in the night..
...next morning another Fortress - Dubrovnik
..a city on the Adriatic sea....
After Croatia we returned to Montenegro:
Kotor Bay views from our guesthouse:
..or along the bay
...
..
KOTOR Venetians old city and the fortress above (1200 stairs if you dare to face the sun out there)
...
...we rather enjoyed the local beer
under those natural palm umbrellas...
....getting lost among these centuries old buildings...
..narrow streets...
..
...and stuffed cats ...
..or some bird eye views from our Jeep over the same bay:
...some exists towards remote corners of a peninsula...
...much much cooler here ...from 35C to 18C
...misty but shady...
..and because Montenegro is the land of dramatic canyons and gorges we keep the our rhythm following their paths...
...I could catch the entire 400 m gorge.....very deep & steep as well....
and another angle...plenty of tunnels..
....at least the part above us I could catch...
..some postcards....from Montenegro...looking towards Albanian border
...
..300 years old trees..
...again a very tranquil and hidden spot here up in the mountains...
...
this is a private city island and a hotel only...but very expensive....didn't ask....Sveti Stefan Old Town
...guess what we've met....
...and these Nebraska Jeep here as well
indeed a small world....
we choose a more original way to return to our country....
by ferry over the Danube from Bulgaria
