Thanks for your thought guys and here some new pics from our last Jeep gathering up in Carpathian mountains trails:
Towards the mountains (21C and Crystal Clear Sky - perfect weather for a Jeep Tour)

Weather was perfect and landscapes fantastic...if you wish a kinda Jeep heaven
Low Gears Seniors...Diesel Power in Action on a steep incline towards the summit..
...and again pictures time...
Mountains all over...
Some of us have fun picturing towards the sun
at the summit looking towards a almost dried out glacier lake
girls had fun as well
including the small jeepers...
Steep and long descent in through the forest
Some sceneries made be a professional photographer:

A Commander joined the gang:
some of the mountains young citizens...Romanian shepherd dog
a true beauty...
and her master
at the cross-roads
Climbing toward another summit to enjoy one of the best views ever seen:
Jeep traffic jam at the summit..
snow roses were blooming (sign of long autumn - very rare!)
breathtaking views

Returned from last week-end. We had a great tour - crossed over twice above 2200 m altitudes (7200 feet).
Bellow the pics:
Right there on that mountain top is a perfect pic spot to shoot a panoramic view from my Jeep:
Ok then! Lets reach that point. Meanwhile pics from the route; But first lets pop-up the soft top a bit:
Fall colours combined with the draught of this summer:
bit closer:
before this transalpine route received the civilization signs = asphalt it was a off-road paradise; well in this moment anybody could climb
...but not almost everywhere... we decided to have a short brake and enjoy the views...therefore had to climb another peak before...this time 4Low
and some pics from this top:
ok here we are; the peak before was the green one on the left of the below pic, seen from higher ground this time together with the new asphalt snake twisting around these great landscapes:
marvellous pics of the surrounding mountain chain Parang and of course the yellow spot on:
and what I do like most 4Low this time a steep descend
This road called TRANSALPINA or transalpine road was build by the Romans when they conquer these territories and was used since 2000 years by people from both side of the Carpathian mountains. During Ceausescu regime another transalpine route was build called Transfagarasan (twist your tongue yes!)

Well , this was a pleasant surprise ! A Romanian Jeep Club. It's definetly nice to see you guys have a good time out there and represent the Jeep community in a country as beautiful as Romania. I moved to Canada from there about 11 years ago and visited back in 07. I plan to go again next year I believe, maybe I could catch up with you guys and go on some trails. Cheers !

Picturesque villages anchored on the mountains rocks.
weather was awesome for our Jeep tour:
scattered houses on these green green hills
some pics over the top with the landscape:
here up everything just started to bloom; spring explosion of colours and odours
plenty of bird eye views from the Jeep
wild Balkan Peninsula and remote areas
wild waters and rapids
and some cracy people swimming in ice cold waters; 100% natural jacuzzi can tell
bridges everywhere so that you can admire and enjoy the most picturesqueness views over the cliffs towards the gorges and rapids
hello from the next fortress we've conquered by Jeep:

a ratrack or snow machine conserved till next winter
hard to turn back to such landscapes but we still to return to our base camp:

Whats the weather in Romania now? Looks like summer to me

Orthodox Christians celebrated Easter last weekend so we'd to run away from Black Sea Coast were everybody was going and choose a more quieter and picturesque landscape suitable for our Jeep and our needs. Indeed this May is more like June, so you can say we jumped in summer sooner than last year. Up in the mountains is still spring and Sunday we cached a bit of snow early in the morning, which means a fantastic fresh air for a top-off warm day!
