The joys of rust. Get a bigger hammer.

Installed some metal cloak jounce bumpers. OEs were shot after 10 years. We’ll see how these go.

I put those in recently. Not sure if I remembered to show you. I was very impressed with them so far, even though I only had three of four when we did Mojave Road.

I never felt the normal crash in the rear from bottoming hard like I used to.

Front I could tell the difference side to side, one with MC and one stock. I just ran out of time the night before we left.

Good to hear. I had a few hard hits on Mojave Road, and my stock bumps had seen better days. I think these will be a nice improvement.

Jerry suggested these to me along with pointing out I have been running 4" bumps in the rear. Until recently I was on a 3" lift so that explains why the rear bottomed out hard pretty frequently.

Yeah i found those yesterday for $50. I have a local steel yard where I could probably get some scrap for a few bucks.

Yeah I already had them cut to fit from my old bushwacker fenders so I didn’t have to trim them anymore.

Installed Dynamat and Dynaliner on the drivers side (front and back) today. Pretty time consuming project. Hopefully it will help insulate the driver’s seat from the hot-assed exhaust pipe. Maybe some sound deadening too, although I’m not going to notice that much with the half doors and no top. Still have 5 sheets of dynamat for the passenger side. Next cool weekend.
