What was done to your rig this week?

How are 4.56 and with what size tire?

It is very noticeable jump in torque. I was at 3.73 stock so jumping up to 4.56 on 32s is "fun".

I plan on going up to 35s. My lift kit and 35s are sitting in the garage waiting for me to get the time and energy to get them installed.

In the meantime it's great. Taking it easy for next 500 miles to break them in. But I can feel the increase in acceleration and torque. The large hill outside my neighborhood is a huge diff in feeling. And at 60mph I can feel and hear the gears strain a bit more then normal. Imagine I will lose a gallon or two fuel economy too. But I like the feeling. When I go down hill and take foot off gas I feel the gears giving me a soft breaking effect much like down shifting would do. Almost has a 4hi feel if you know what I mean.

That's cool will be waiting to hear how the 35's do on the 4.56 gears.

Hope this is something you wanted and not forced on you!

Well the JK was my wife as I drive a 3500 Sierra primarily. She saw the new Renegades and liked them. Told her only if it was a TrailHawk. Found one close with only option we need/want it didn't have. The trailer hitch. Not that we would use it to tow, but extra storage for trips would be nice. So we talked it over and got them to install a hitch, so all is good.

I will be sure to let you know.

From what I've read 4.56 should should be great with 35s since I have the 2014 jku autotrans. I could be wrong but 4.88s may be better if you have a manual.

I could have gone 4.88 but I plan on road tripping to trails and wanted to keep a bit more top fir highway use.

I guess 35s on 4.56 auto feel like 4.10s on 32s.

Should be similar performancefrom what I've read but maybe someone with personal experience with this can provide more insight.

Very clean. Good job

Thanks! I give credit to all the collaboration of ideas from all the Wayalife members. I do have to comment that during the install my jigsaw broke so I used a drimmel with a cutting wheel (too lazy for a 3rd trip to Home Depot). It made awesome straight and clean lines at the expense of being showered with molten plastic as expected. Wear eye protection.
