I was literally just coming here to ask about this. I have my new baofeng and need to program it. Once programmed, is there a way to confirm itās good to go?We'll be using race radios. I will provide frequencies that you'll need to have programmed in.
Why are all the bottles so full?
Fair jab. This pic is back when I finished building the whisky bar. Some werenāt even opened then yet. Some are less full now, but I still try to moderate and have a little restraint. I mostly try to have a buying problem and not a drinking problem. Lol.That crossed my mind too. Lol
I have a spare handheld you can use.Alright, I only have GMRS in both Jeeps, but no FRSādoes that mean Iāll need to buy Baofengs??
Youāre the MAN! ThanksāI have a spare handheld you can use.
Mine should hopefully be alright. But might take you up as a back up.I have a spare handheld if anyone needs one.
Neither am I, hence the reason I ask. āRace radiosā arenāt actually a thing the FCC regulates and provides frequencies for; I THINK itās just a branding thing. Regardless, GMRS, FRS, CB, hell, I wish it were easier to get people on the same architecture. Paying for CB then FRS then GMRS is like these companies just messing with us. Like owning these Jeeps arenāt expensive enough.I will also have an extra hand held if anybody needs one.
Am not a commo expert but I am pretty sure that GMRS and FRS are in a different frequency range and cannot talk to Race Radios.
Buy yourself a mod-able ham radio and program the frequencies you need and be done with it. I have Kenwood v71A and can do ham, frs, and gmrs.Neither am I, hence the reason I ask. āRace radiosā arenāt actually a thing the FCC regulates and provides frequencies for; I THINK itās just a branding thing. I'm also still trying to determine if I bring one Jeep or two.
Problem with that is itās illegal, and Iām a lawyer, so thatās not gonna work. Trust me, Iād be THE ONE the FCC gets the FBI to questionājust my luck. No thanks. I do appreciate all the input though.Buy yourself a mod-able ham radio and program the frequencies you need and be done with it. I have Kenwood v71A and can do ham, frs, and gmrs.
Even the little Baofeng can be programmed for all those! Love mine.Buy yourself a mod-able ham radio and program the frequencies you need and be done with it. I have Kenwood v71A and can do ham, frs, and gmrs.
Lol, itās not illegal. Itās illegal if you are using ham frequencies without being licensed but not if youāre using gmrs and frs freqs.Problem with that is itās illegal, and Iām a lawyer, so thatās not gonna work. When the FCC comes after us, weāll give you a call. LolProblem with that is itās illegal, and Iām a lawyer, so thatās not gonna work. Trust me, Iād be THE ONE the FCC gets the FBI to questionājust my luck. No thanks. I do appreciate all the input though.
Yep, they donāt give a shit unless you are harassing people, repeatedly, and are turned in repeatedly. Even then, youād have to be doing that on some ham repeater for someone to turn you in.When the FCC comes after us, weāll give you a call. Lol
So easy you could do it in Chinese.Even the little Baofeng can be programmed for all those! Love mine.
Please never change it. It gets me every time, canāt explain whySo easy you could do it in Chinese.
