VIDEO : HOW TO Replace the Main & Auxiliary Battery on a JL Wrangler / JT Gladiator

Yep. Beats wrapping gifts and I can't build the doll house until the girls go to bed...haha. Actually we're heading out to AZ on the 26th and didn't want to do it tomorrow. On a positive note the oil change went smoothly.
Awesome! Hope you have a good and safe trip tomorrow.

No problem. Not your fault. I suppose I should go to your youtube channel now and go off on how it's not correct....haha.

Side note: doing some research it looks like the 48v high voltage power pack unit's life expectancy is around 3 years. Fortunately it appears to be covered under the emissions warranty of 8 years or 80k miles. If that is the issue I'm having should be covered. However if outside of warranty it looks to be stupid expensive to have it replaced.
My Jeep is over five years already, with no sign of a 48v battery problem. But I do not do daily driving in stop and go traffic either.

How much is "stupid expensive"?

Not sure if it's having issues or not. Just getting strange electrical gremlins. The auto start/stop still functions so I'm not sure. From what I've found it's a dealer only item and parts and labor are around $1500.

Well, that’s better but still sucks this is something you have to replace every 3 years 🙁
It is my belief that with E-Torque, the start/stop capability is handled by the 48v battery and the E-Torque mechanism rather than the traditional starter/battery. The start due to auto start/stop is very quiet and does not sound like the normal starter.

I could easily be totally wrong about this.
