They're Not Pyramids

I have been to the pyramids several times and while they are impressive I must admit I was disappointed. They are actually sort of ghetto. The blocks are not as well fitted as I had expected. It’s still an impressive pile of stone, it’s just not the precisely fitted and sized blocks you’d expect. As far as advanced technology, it’s amazing what you can do when you have thousands of people working a lifetime with nothing else to do and that is your sole purpose in life. No internet, no Netflix, no yard work, and no Jeep. Also the ancestors of the individuals currently living in Cairo did not build the pyramids- no fucking way.

Well, 4000 years and random target practice from the Luftwaffe tends to make things look a little more age-ed.

65% serious here... IMO, people who always look for an alien solution are guilty of chronically underestimating humanity.

The global genome is in a permanent state of de-evolution. Every geneticist knows that approximately 10 additional lethal-recessive traits are passed on to each generation. IOW, I've got 10 more f-ups in my genes than my dad has.

The idea that all humans were running around with sharp sticks and learning crop rotation 8,000 years ago is a tale foisted on us by evolutionists who currently have the scientific community by the balls... because to think otherwise really trashes their narrative.

Why aren't scientists talking about the 4,000 year old murals in India depicting destroyed cities with mushroom clouds over them, and the accompanying "myths" that the destruction was caused by gods with flying machines... and that the survivors hair and teeth fell out?

My theory is that humanity in ages past was way more advanced than we think... and maybe even more advanced than we are today.

Ever read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan? The books were fantastic. Series is OK. Anyhoo, the opening line is:

I think we have a looooong way to go to understanding the nature of our reality.

One of my all time favorite sci-fi/fantasy series... I was really sad that Jordan didn't survive his own masterpiece.

Awesome analogy though! Not to get too biblical about all this, but there is overwhelming evidence that some kind of incomprehensible cataclysm "broke" our world several thousand years ago, and stories of it cross multiple cultures.

IMO, it wasn't just a flood. There is some crazy evidence (once again, suppressed) that the continental plates were moving as fast as 5 mph relative to each other for a short period many thousands of years ago. The proof is still in the mantle where we can see giant cool spots where one plate slid under another way faster than they move today. Such a thing would cause destruction on a level we can't imagine & would make chicxulub look like a joke.

I wish we could approach this stuff objectively, and not get it all fubar'd due to religion, academic stupidity, and politics.

Good luck with that! Those are the main filters humans use to look at everything!

But I definitely agree, sometimes it’s cool to think about the possibilities completely objectively and leave those biases out.

So my grand unifying conspiracy theory will probably never be finalized but I'd be thrilled to know the reason for the massive suppression and who is really behind it.

Since we have a lot of time to sit around and drink beer here in AK, my armchair theory is that there are 2 conspirators.

The easy conspirator is human nature itself.

We can't stand the notion that what came before us may be greater than we will ever have the capacity to be. Or that our entire species, and the whole planet could be on a slow but inevitable genetic decline. For the same reason, jealous pharaohs and other kings down through the ages defaced monuments to previous monarchs who were just bigger and better in every way. De-evolution is a depressing bitch.

the hard conspirator... man I don't have a clue, but we should really be working on an answer because our species depends on it.

To me, the great cosmic conspiracy question our scientists should be working on is... what happened? If evolution used to work, it doesn't now (unless you ask a paid academic), so what changed? And if we can figure out what changed, let's figure out how to change it back!

Maybe it's because of the stretching of the fabric of the universe or something... I dunno. L.E. Modesitt Jr. wrote one of my favorite sci-fi novels called "The Eternity Artifact"... basically about a bunch of aliens for whom the universe was stretching too thin, causing their whole society to not work anymore (or something like that). It was a book worthy of several beers of discussion.

PS: I'm full of more shit than usual today... lol.
