Sure looks like a plane to me. That chick doesn’t know what 100 feet is either. How close are they to an airport? Weds more context. That is the least convincing video in my opinion.

Some of this is def misidentification, probably 95%, but have you ever seen a whole plane illuminated in the twilight like that? It's like the whole thing is lit from within. And it is really hard to judge heights but hard to say from the video having not being there if it really is fairly low.

Looks like its in the city and I have seen planes look like that. I don't know, not compelling to me.

As for height, the peak of that roof has to be close to 30 feet. Seems a lot taller than 3 houses.

IDK, the height is subjective for sure - no way it’s only 100’ unless the scale is off, but I’ve not seen a plane self illuminated like that ever. We live on the Cleveland to Pittsburgh flight approach path and I’ve seen planes flying over for 50+ years and landing lights only light up the front half. That things fucked up - whatever it is. And no windows.

That's a jetliner and it's much higher than 100 ft. If it was as low as 100 ft, the sound would be so loud, it would rattle the houses.

It's lit from the outside. At one point, you can see light reflecting off the fuselage, moving from the nose and moving aft. It looks like the jetliner has enough altitude to be lit by the setting sun.

I agree, unless you were there to see with your own eyes, there's no way to judge the height or the scale of that thing. Saying it's 100' high is silly.
IF the scale was off and it really was lower maybe you could argue that, but again, no there so it's a moot point.

What is off is the illumination of it. it's not the setting sun. Look at the beginning of the vid - the sun has already set. And if it was lit from underneath the shadows on it would vary, but they don't the whole time. Could end up as just a plane, but it's a really odd video.

I am undeterred! Too much weird shit out there. I shall press on..

The aircraft is a Boeing 787 and landed in Newark at 09:17 EST. It's possible the aircraft had enough altitude to be lit by the sun. At higher altitudes, sunset is later than on the ground. If not the sun, then the aircraft is being lit by ground lights. Newark doesn't have a "Dark Sky" law and produces quite a bit of light pollution.

You don't see shadows because of contrast. The camera is taking it's exposure from the evening sky and is wide open to let in more light. The aircraft is white and compared to the sky, is brightly lit, washing out the shadows. If the aircraft was lit internally, it would have to be translucent and wouldn't have that glint of reflected light you see running along the fuselage about halfway through the video.

The engine sound is clearly of turbo fan engines. The volume of the engines clearly indicates the aircraft is at normal altitudes or it would be louder. If the aircraft were smaller than a jet liner and closer to the ground, the sound would be louder and have a different tone as the engines would be smaller as well. The engines on the aircraft in the video are to scale. That is, the engines aren't bigger than they should be.

Someone did their homework. Using the time stamp of the video and a geolocator, they verified on Flight Aware that United Airlines Flight UA1855 from L.A. to Newark was in that airspace at the time the video was shot.
