FALL COLORS CAMPING TRIP IN THE SIERRA'S
Here are a few pics of camping trip we did up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains to soak in the fall colors. On this trip, our good friends Yvonne and Eddie and Matt, a friend from our Isuzu days and as you will see, he was rocking an old VehiCROSS.

After meeting up in Lone Pine, we started our adventure by taking a loop through the Alabama Hills.

awesome views.
ran out of floppy disc's lol, Sony Mavica?

The year was 2001 and Sony released the most amazing consumer level digital camera made of its time and it was known as, the Cybershot DSC-F707. If you can believe it, this thing had a whopping 5 Megapixels resolution, a 5x optical (10x digital) Carl Zeiss zoom lens, it could see in the dark, had a distinctive L-shaped body design that allowed it to break in the middle and twist up or down to help get you to capture low or high shots with ease and now, it saved its much larger images onto a small, proprietary Sony Memory Stick.

Needless to say, this digital camera effectively replaced our trusty ol' Mavica FD-91 and the pics you'll now see on this thread will have been taken with it

EXPLORING THE MOJAVE DESERT
One of the first trips we went on with our all new Sony Cybershot F707, was out to a part of the Mojave Desert that Cindy and I loved (unfortunately, it is no longer open to vehicular traffic) and because of it's unique and colorful rock formations. And, as luck would have it, we had a few of our wheeling friends join us including Dave and Karen in their gen 1 Nissan Pathfinder, Matt in his Isuzu Vehicross and Vince and his family in his 4-banger TJ.

Here we are after hopping off the pavement and airing down.
