The Metamorphosis of MumboJumbo

Looks good. No more 37 pairs of pro comps rectangular lights, reminiscent of my Dads old 85 Bronco.... In '85. :cheesy:

Well, they are beefier than stock but the RockJocks aren't as easy to work with as I had hoped. I had to literally butcher a set of EVO Rockstars to make them fit for the coilover install. Probably the worst thing I've found with them so far is that Currie makes their RockJocks without a drain plug, what a PIA it is to change the gear oil in it as the diff cover is tipped forward. Also, bearings and seals are Currie Specific, can't just go to PepBoys (Larry, Moe, and Curly), to buy them.

Doesn't matter.... They LOOK awesome!

Just wait till I add the big ass light bar across the windshield. They'll see Mumbo from space, lmao View attachment 93912

Now that's funny!

My ride- 2001 power wheel, 11" plastic tires, upgraded battery, boat sides, custom bumpers, tow hooks, new paint.

Dropped my hitchhiker off at home yesterday, about 75lbs of dead weight I didn't need riding all over the western states with me. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1408396808.951302.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1408396822.916117.jpg with a bit of creative rearranging I managed to make it fit in here. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1408396897.292323.jpg. Will be ordering a new clutch and throwout bearing in the next week or so, may as well change them out since I'm in the neighborhood. Looks like I'll be racing the clock again for the S&G just like the last one where I was installing the new drive shaft in the parking lot of the machine shop literally minutes before we had to be at the restaurant, lol.

Totally understandable. Excited to see the install on this! Congrats on the score!

It was well worth the trip to pick it up for sure, the Mrs and I met a very nice couple in the process, hopefully get to see them again in the near future. And with any luck at all I didn't tear up their driveway with my work truck, lol.

With a trip to the Rubicon coming up, I have decided to semi- permanently remove my wife's removable step and replace it with something a little "different". ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1410460992.212793.jpg. Normally, her step gets removed at the trailhead and just stashed in the back someplace until it's time to go home. But this makes it hard for her to climb in and out for her turn to drive or such trivial things such as writing her name in the dirt behind a large rock.
So, with that said, Mumbo is getting a nifty set of stirrups attached to the bottom of his seats. YeeHaw!!ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1410461586.030992.jpg

Just re-read this thread... beautiful rig :thumb: I remember back when I built stuff - But hey divorce and apartment living is what it is... went out to put on my skids and realized I don't even have a floor jack anymore

Looking forward to the upcoming trip!

I still can't believe this. That thing is gonna swing all over the place! Hold on tight!

At least I'm not mounting the saddle. ( not a bad idea though, I could see the Mrs as a hood ornament)

Suddenly after the IOS8 update i can see my own emoticons i think. Going to use my own thread to test it.
