The long and slow build of "................"

Thank you for checking in. I really appreciate it. At this moment we still "own" (bank owns) the jeep and are scraping by hoping she gets a job from some of these leads she's had. She has had 2 great 2 interviews and a follow up with one on monday. She's excited. In all honesty I'd rather her be happy then to work in a place she hates. Even if that means losing the jeep. But this is a position she is ecstatic for so I'm hoping she gets it.

Crossing fingers! A few years ago we were building a vacation cabin. A few weeks before were were to close my wife lost her job. We lost the cabin and over 10,000. That sucked donkey balls. My wife was so upset about it and blamed herself. It was not her fault and reassured her of that. The money was well just money. I still have wonderful wife. Life sucks sometimes, but we always end up getting through it. Now when we get sick of a state we just say fuck it and sell the house and get another one.:)

Since me joining here I have lived in three states!:cheesy:

I'm always afraid of starting over. But would love to move. None the less we will find out Monday whether or not she gets the job. Thank you for the support.

On another note we ended up having to tap into funds we didn't really have to change out the door hung bushings. They were shot. I do have to say the bottom ones were a bitch to pound out. Not much going on lately. But it was fun to get back into working on something.

Best of luck on the news on Monday, things will work out. On a side note did you have to adjust your door latches? I did the bushings as well but not crazy about how my doors shut now

I did have to adjust the hinges. The hinge brackets mounted to the body to be exact. It took a good few times to get it to were The door hinges upper and lower sat flat on the bushings but yet didn't hit The latch on The door before closing. Now everything is centered. The door actually shuts way better then it did when I bought it.

Yeah, I saw that... Hope it works out. Otherwise, we'll have to plan another run sometime in the near future. 😊
I think we are going to head up to big bear anyways even if we run solo. Just to see the view and hang out with the family. I'll keep a look out for the croup and maybe stop by and say hello. Unless of course we make it on the list.

I raised the loop at the back of the door jamb as high as it would go on both sides. Are you saying you moved the part of the hinge you put the bushing in?

You'd be pushing the limits of the driveshafts at that point. Our 2-doors don't like more than 2.5" with the stock shafts.

You saw my boot get torn the last time we went out. 😎
I have adjustable control arms. So I should be able to adjust the pinion angle enough to buy me time until I get new drive shafts. I hope at least. I mean right now it's all talk. I will find out shortly if my wife got the job. If so it opens up a lot of opportunity for the jeep.
