The Evolution of ENVY Build

Jase,

Are you anywhere near San Dimas? Do you need a lift home? Anything that I can do to help?

Thanks Tom. I've got it covered with a family member meeting at the dealership. Currently sitting with the fam in a crew cab tow truck with air spring seats getting ready to head down the mtn (big bear). Driver thinks it not the starter, but not sure beyond that.

I know many have been in this situation. Not fun. But we are safe, jeep didnt get banged up, and had fun running some rocks. Even a little a laugh as what else can you do.

Thanks again for the offer of help. Should anything change, I'll shoot you a PM.

Copy that. I hope it is an easy and cheap fix.

Is there gas on it? :idontknow:

Good luck jags. Hopefully something simple and cheap. :thumb:

Did you rotate the fuses? This, on your birthday weekend. What a bummer, hope it's something simple.

^^^^
Ha ha ttfhell.

Yup we ran gold mtn. Great trail. Stopped for late lunch. Wouldn't start when we tried to leave. Tried several trail fixes and a jump. AAA tried a few things as well. ???

Hope it's easy. Still had a good time on the trail. Was with the fam and we are safe, so that is most important. Though a cheap fix under warranty would also be appreciated. 😉

Needless to say, I'll be drinking later tonight once I get home. 🍻🍷🍸

Was going to put this pic in Random photos. Lol. After more than a week (9 days), two flat bed tows, two dealerships, one strap tow out of big bear back roads, looks like ENVY is back home.

Apparently a "failed miserably" battery can cause some issues. Thankfully my home base dealer, where I bought my Jeep and done all it's routine service, was able detect the failure and replace the bat under warranty. The service writer also commented on Mel's and Eddie influence on my jeep and paid compliments.

Been testing and driving it all afternoon and evening and so far so good. Hopefully stays all clear tomorrow, then it's time for a road trip. 👍

A few days after returning from the Rubicon, I noticed my rear dif seal had a small drip. With several trips planned and the unfortunate time spent at few dealers, I put off the fix for a bit.

Back from Lake Tahoe this Monday for the second time in a month, today I made my way over to ORE.

Sorry Adam, no shop front picture this time. Know they are your favorite. Lol 😉

This morning.

New Dif cover and fluid change by the afternoon. If only it was a full PR60. 😢

You paid ore to change your diff fluid? Lol

It takes all of 20 minutes to do that entire thing.

I paid to have the new cover done, fluid kind of wasn't optional. I'd still have to buy all the materials/fluids, so not too big a deal, especially considering I'd f it up doing it myself. Lol.

You volunteering to help? Next time I'll call you. 👍

A friend just sent me a pic of ENVY climbing a section of Cadillac Hill on the Rubicon. Thought I'd post up here. Regardless of driver experience, further illustrates that the Enforcer is plenty capable. A little three wheel action. :thumb:

You should blow that pic up and frame that shit Jason.....it'd look pretty bad ass hanging up on the wall:thumb:.......that way 40 years from now you can say to your grand kids...."and this one here is when I was wheeling up Cadillac Hill on the Old Rubicon Trail.......yep.....grandpa was a bad ass back in the day"........"now where did I put my glass of prune juice at?"

Ha ha. I know right. Tons of good pics from this trip and still some trickling in. Great memories and stories as well...thank to Wayalife!

Stopped by ORE yesterday as I was in the area for breakfast with some friends. Drew and Mel were both in the shop and as in typical fashion, couldn't walk out without the swipe of a credit card.

Picked up some new front lower shock mount adapter brackets for ENVY. Gets the shock kicked out a little more (same bracket as CO set up) for better alignment, etc etc. Will be at least a few weeks before I have time to install, but I'll post up when I do. Also will need to recruit some help. 😉

Those are neat, didn't know they sold them alone. But they should keep the shock away from the frame at full droop. I just received nemesis ones. I would have gone with these if I could have found them. Good score!

MTG met up with us after the rubicon run and he got to talking about some "new bracket." So when when Mel said I should get em, can't argue with that.

ZERO mods needed for these lights. Just need the resistor that all of the LED lights need.

- Drew

Thanks Chris.

And like Drew said, no "mods" needed. Just a different type of install since they don't use the rubber grommet. But nothing altered. I'll go snap some more pics and see if I can also find the link. I bought the lights on ebay and the resisters on amazon.

There is no difference for the install? Looks like there are screws to hold it in place?

Jags would you mind getting a pic from about 25-30 feet from behind your rig, I'm curious what they look like at a distance. Considering switching to these myself and then remove my Rigid SRM that is currently my reverse light and build out a new rear aux light solution.
