The building of GR8WHITE2.0 aka The Silver Piece

I cant tell from these pics, but i would assume since you are stretching the front axle so far forward you are going full hydro for your steering? You are doing great work by the way. Looks great.
Yes full hydro because of the front stretch and I didn't want a trackbar or draglink killing my full bump. And thanks man! She's getting there slowly
Great progress! Going to be beast!
Thanks. I just gotta keep working on it one piece at a time.

Continued to work on the piece today. Finished welding ram mount and made a crossover bar for the strut towers. Its incredibly close to hitting the hood if not sits on it a little but it will just help protect radiator in a roll and help hood from caving in as bad. Then started painting everything ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455129.939013.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455140.358836.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455153.465634.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455162.535336.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455169.972308.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455223.590559.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455236.157294.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455245.579882.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455258.599403.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455270.755663.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475455794.603189.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475456142.457395.jpg

Psc full hydro double ended ram. And will start on the back as soon as I finish the front....

Front end is fully pained and assembled! Took 28 days but making progress. I started with notching the crossmember under the radiator for the hydro mount/truss. Then made a crossmember out of a 2"X2" 3/16 thick square tube. Probably not all that necessity but since I took most of the strength out of the main crossmember... it willn't hurt. Then made sure everything was painted and put the front axle in for hopefully the last time. Next step is setting up the steering ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475536939.748432.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475536954.950497.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475536973.262506.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475536986.972931.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475537000.593225.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475537008.564607.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1475537018.599964.jpg

What was the point in buying a JK?

This is a great question that i ask myself everyday. Should have just built a buggy or started with an xj or something cheap with a VIN number. But I kinda like building a complete beater jk because it goes against the south eastern stereotype jk. Mall Crawler, dana 30, light bars, and chrome steps

Last night I bolted in the psc pump, resi, and ram. Still need to mount the orbital and then make the hydro lines. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1476381959.292189.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1476381973.404053.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1476381986.394515.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1476381996.699246.jpg

This thing is sweet! We must be around the same age if you still can't drink (stupid law). Great work and I can't wait to see the finished product!

Great to see this thing getting worked on again.

Need to start picking up the pace like i did the first couple weeks!

Thanks man! I'm ready to see it done too but the amount of work left can be overwhelming haha. Trying to just keep moving and making progress.

So you're going to back half the frame behind the front seats? Keep up the good work Mike!!

Yes gonna be cutting off the frame here shortly. The only reason I haven't yet is bc it willn't on the lift good with no weight in the back.

Worked on the jeep a little today. Mounted the orbital, installed my oversized brake master, ran the feed line to the pump and started running the pump output to orbital line.
