2020 just keeps getting worse. Out if the blue we had to put my 12 year old German Short Hair named Sparrow down last night. She had seemed to be in perfect health. She was her happy self when I got home around 1:45, but started acting extremely lethargic yesterday around 2, I had her to the Vet by 3 and gone by 3:30. My two young kids are absolutely crushed right now and I lost a close friend and partner. She and I have covered hundreds of miles together hiking and as been a place of refuge for the family when times were bad with her happy personality. She will be terribly missed.

Sorry to hear about your family's loss. The loss of a fur child is always difficult, even harder when the loss is sudden. Hopefully your search for a new family member is successful, to help fill the void left by the loss of Sparrow.

Welcome Meadow to the family.

It may be a bit fast but she’s filling the void left by the loss of Sparrow with the kids. Had to make a 1,000 mile round trip yesterday to pick her up and did great on the ride home. She’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Sparrow will never be replaced, but she’ll go a long way to bring joy back home.

Thank you! She’s an all “Liver” or Brown German Short Hair Pointer. Usually they are spotted, these guys are a bit more rare to find all solid. Great breed, I strongly recommend looking at them too. Awesome field dogs, but even better family dogs. Extremely loyal
