That's terrible news Bill, I'm so sorry to hear this. Losing a longtime hunting/hiking partner is just a horrible thing to go through. GSPs are fantastic dogs and truly a member of the family.

Man, losing a buddy is so hard. I can't ever be without having dogs, but when they pass it's the worst. Sorry your kids have to go thru this on top of everything else this shitty year.

2020 just keeps getting worse. Out if the blue we had to put my 12 year old German Short Hair named Sparrow down last night. She had seemed to be in perfect health. She was her happy self when I got home around 1:45, but started acting extremely lethargic yesterday around 2, I had her to the Vet by 3 and gone by 3:30. My two young kids are absolutely crushed right now and I lost a close friend and partner. She and I have covered hundreds of miles together hiking and as been a place of refuge for the family when times were bad with her happy personality. She will be terribly missed.

Sorry to hear about that Bill😭

It sucks loosing a family member, especially out of the blue like that.

At least it doesn't sound like she suffered much.
 
Wish I could say something to make you all feel better but I know what kind of a day this is, what a perfect picture to post with your news. I’m so sorry for this loss Bill. It always brings everything else into perspective

Thank you guys. Your thoughts and prayers mean so much. The kids are the hardest part of going through this, But they’re resilient and are getting through it.

I can’t wait till this damn year is over.

I’ve witnessed this happen twice this year... one was a good friend and the other was my neighbor... both out of the blue... both heartbreaking. Sorry man.

Thanks guys. Kids are doing better today. My wife has been search for GSP litters all over the country, so I see a road trip in our future.
