Thanks!Looking good!
Thanks! Can’t wait to get it out on the trail!Congrats! Thats awesome
Waiting for it to cool down the check the steering shaft between firewall and steering box. I really hope it’s not in the PSC box!Since it was there before the new axle. Has to be something existing. Check steering shaft, box, pitman arm, etc.
I get it. Such a pain in the ass finding cause of DW sometimes.I’m at a loss with this thing. I’ve spent so much time under the Jeep with the wife turning the steering wheel. I can’t find play in anything, and if I thought it had play I’ve replaced it. Yesterday I was helping a buddy with his Jeep and comparing his steering to mine, we both have the PSC box so same setup. His has way more slop than mine, but doesn’t have these issues.
I broke down and bought a steering stabilizer kit. I know that doesn’t fix anything, but maybe I’ll be able to drive it as I keep searching for the problem.
I haven’t checked the tapered holes, but there isn’t any play I’ve checked with engine running and with it off. I’ve inspected the frame where track bar and control arms mount. All bushings are new, checked torque on all front end bolts. I’m going to keep looking through because this is driving me crazy! I’m just throwing parts at it now. Along with the stabilizer I order the drag link adjustment sleeve. It’s the only part that hasn’t been replaced.Man that sucks after all the work. Just a quick question have you checked the mounting holes bore size ? Any chance your frame is cracked around or on top of mounting location? bad bushings somewhere? Coil over mounts still tight ? Just throwing out some ideas
Pulling my hair out at this pointI get it. Such a pain in the ass finding cause of DW sometimes.
My symptoms weren't as bad as yours, but I too had a shimmy after hitting a bump in a turn and taking the stabilizer back to stock did the trick. Wasn't anything close to a death wobble though... are you running a drag link flip?My battle with the front end of the jeep continues. There are so many new parts now and if they aren’t brand new they have between 8000-10000 miles. On flat roads it drives amazingly even bumpy straight always does great, but if I hit a bump in a turn… it’s done. Have to bring it to a dead stop before we can continue. Gonna pull the frame side track bar off and inspect that mount and going to check the lower steering shaft for play. I’ve triple checked my torque on my steering and suspension parts.
I amare you running a drag link flip?
you know I thought about that also. Haven’t fully checked, but the steering box has been in since may of 2022. I would’ve thought it would show up much sooner. This all started in July. Can I ask what might be a stupid question?
Is it possible there is air trapped in the steering lines and it's surging?
full ram assist kit or steering box using stock reservoir?I am

Just the steering box. It’s worked so well haven’t seen a need to add the ram. Everything else is stock still.full ram assist kit or steering box using stock reservoir?
