Just rolled into our driveway after a fun event up at Robb’s resort. Left the house with wheels a bit out of balance no issues all the way up. Loaded up this morning to head home, heading down ice house the small shimmy turned into full on death wobble. Wife freaked out and wanted me to drive 35 all the way home. Stopped in fresh pond found that my frame side track bar bushing must be bad. Has a good amount of movement when the wheels are turned back and forth. Found that if I was below 40mph or above 55 everything was fine that window is where the wheel balance is really noticeable. Anyway it was a great trip playing in the woods with tiny trucks for four days.

Saturday I was in a parking lot and saw a Jeep with “Black Pearl” where Rubicon normally is on the hood. Took a double take for a second, but it was a 2-door with Ohio plates. Someone is impersonating you.

Yeah there are a few out there. A couple on instagram also. I thought about doing hood stickers, but I’m going to have a buddy make me a badge for the Jeep instead, something a little different.

I love it. It’s almost as fun as actual wheeling. My daughter loves it and my wife is getting into it. So it’s nice to be out there as a family!

Trying to talk myself into buys a set of method 703s and finely get rid of the steel wheels.

Picking up my new track bar tomorrow. Next I’ll have to have the wheels balanced.

Working on the Jeep a little today. Got the new track bar in,the bushing on the old one was pretty sloppy. Also found my drivers side ball joint is bad. I’ll have to rebuild that tomorrow. Getting the front wheels balanced tomorrow also.

On a better note the wife told me to order my new wheels and front axle for the jeep! I just think she wants me to stop talking about it really.

I have it built out on the site. Went with a conventional jk axle because they didn’t let me select gear ratio or new locker when I was under rubicon axle.

After years of talking about it, financial ups and downs and adjustments to what my build should be for me. I finally ordered a new front axle. It’s a big day for me.
