The build of my flag ship Black Pearl

Should be smooth and easy. Watch the fluid level.. Go a little below MAX.. Too much and it may overflow when hot.

Did you flush with Swepco 729 and put in 715?
Aside from that one point it is very smooth. I emptied the whole system. Ran 729 through then emptied that and filled 715.
I thought something might be catching, but it doesn’t matter where I’m at in the steering. Just a small stiff point then perfectly smooth again.

So just ran across a thread on here from a few years ago. Some people notice a lag in the steering, with the factory pump. It apparently is more notable with manual transmission. This is probably what it is. I’ll see how it does on the open road tomorrow on the way to work.

I recall some talking about a very subtle lag.. I didn't know it was a manual thing... I do not have any lag but mine is an auto. I'm sure the pump will help. I'm going to install the pump, cooler and lines one of these days.

Maybe it just needs to bleed out a bit more.

I’m now thinking doing the pump at minimum now, but we’ll see how it goes first.

After driving to and from work. I really only can feel the small stiff spot in the steering at low speeds or stopped. It’s very smooth at speed.

Did a little shake down run yesterday. Everything seems to be in good working order. Need to address the front wheels grabbing the inner wheel wells a little bit. Other then that I’m happy.
It performed well over rocks and in flexy spots. I’m a little rusty as it’s been a minute, since I’ve played in rocks. Dropped over what looked like a easy line. Just to set the front control arm on a rock and the started digging wholes. It was a great day! Even stopped for some bbq one the way home.
