The Adventures of Fiona - '08 JK Rubicon 2-Door

All I've got to say is "Wow!" All the work I put into the rear end really paid off. Ran the Miller Jeep trail today and it was like a whole new Jeep! Flex was great, didn't bottom out dropping off ledges, and rode a lot smoother over the rocks. I'm thrilled with the results! Only got hung up on one large waterfall but was able to self-correct and get right up. Fiona's really turning into the little billy goat that could! 😂 What an amazing day!

Right? Unfortunately, no pics. I didn't have my wife with me who is the designated photographer. 😔 Besides, the points of this particular trail that would've been most impressive weren't conducive to a photographer outside... Long, steep rock gardens and deep ruts hiding around steep blind corners. I have a witness (fiend was behind me) but I'm pretty sure he was too busy to take photos too. 😜

I need a GoPro... Or a drone that follows me on autopilot. 😂

I can vouch for it all. Though I was mostly trying to keep up with Fiona without choking on too much dust.

Installed an Apollointech switch pod system to control the lights I'm working on wiring up. Yeah, it's cheap, yeah, it's Chinese, but damn... I was surprised at the build quality. The control box and the switch pod are made of steel. The switches are standard Carling V switches. They shipped a lot of different options for the switch covers, but I ordered up some custom ones from OTRATTW for my application and sense of humor. 😎

The control box mounts behind the washer resevuoir (on my 08), has 6 fused relays and a nice cover. I wish it was waterproof, but with a bit of weatherstripping I'm sure it will be fine. Ask you have to do to wire it up is attach the positive and negative cables to the battery and run a tap line into the fuse box. The system is protected by an included 100A resettable circuit breaker.

The switch pod mounts on the center footman loop. It's form-fitted to the plastic trim on the JK. It's not closed on the top, so also not weatherproof. I'll have to think on that some to fix that. It has a digital ammeter to monitor your battery and charging system, so that's kinda cool. The pod connected to the control box with one simple plug-in and the wiring harness was more than enough to route through to the cab.

Overall, for under $200, you get a nice plug-and-play setup. If you're looking for a more robust system, I'd go with the one from Strike Force Zebra. They've got a great system that address my only desires for this system.
