Guinness from a can is awesome and consistent. It always tastes the same no matter where in the world you drink it. I have had Guinness in some of the world’s greatest shit holes and it was always awesome.

Unfortunately, some restaurants have a policy that all beverages need to be opened and poured prior to carrying it to the table. And many waiters/waitresses are clueless when it comes to Guinness. The result is that you can't be sure what beer you may receive, and it may be totally ruined by the time it reaches the table.
