Stubby vs full width bumpers

I agree I was being sarcastic. Plus I have to learn myself. Don't need a blind leading the blind situation..haha. So for now she is good with using the brad nailer, radial arm saw and working with wood...;) Those Lowes build and grow work shops have payed off...haha

I don't think there is such a thing as too young! No sarcasm here either! As soon as my daughter could, I've had her in the garage with me! She's almost 3 now, and she can pull out my turn signals and just about anything I give her the right wrench/ screwdriver for and re-install them correctly! I think it's great, but every now and then she steals a nut or bolt and I have to scour the garage for it! It's my favorite time that I get to spend with her, and she loves it! And I've even let her drive my jeep at the dunes too!

Appreciate everyone taking time to reply with their experiences...VERY helpful!

Just curious what are purposes or advantages of stingers vs bull bars?

I think the original purpose of a stinger was so that if you rolled your jeep, the radiator would not be crushed and you could at least drive home. That's why a proper stinger is high enough to create a straight line to the roll cage without touching the hood

Apparently I asked a dumb question...my bad.

No, not a dumb question, just an opinionated topic. People love them or hate them, much like stubbies.

I was just asking where to put my wayalife stickers the other day... So I guess there is no such thing as a dumb question

I agree with Moochie in that where I am from , if you are running over bushes , shrubs , or any type of brush you are probably not on a trail and considered off trail . People frown on this and that is how trails get closed . I can only hope you know this and the brush you are running over is only on your property .Please tell us you don't drive off trails. Here is an example of what I am talking about when I say to keep the winch low , have fogs built in and a stubby .

Thats all mine is, I just cut and welded, boxed In the ends, threw a pice of c channel on it, and then some d rings. Done for now, and for about $20 plus the d rings. It was just a rush job so I could get the winch on it before a snow wheeling trip, but I ended up leaving it on. Laziness I guess. View attachment 49961View attachment 49963View attachment 49965View attachment 49966. I think I'm going to throw a stinger on it too, the only reason I haven't is cause of garage door clearance once I back in! Haha

I don't call that lazyiness I call it being pragmatic. :thumb:

I agree. My daughter loves helping. I can't leave any tool out with out her wanting to use it. Although I no longer leave my drill with a bit in it sitting on my work bench. When she was 3 or 4 she was playing with it pulling the trigger and such then she pulled it down on her self and cut her nose and scratched her lip. All I kept think was thank god it did't get her eye. But yeah she always helps me with what ever project I'm doing. If I trying to finish I just give her "her" hammer a box of nails and some wood. Keeps her entertained for hours...haha. Plus she can build the little lowes kits better than some of the boys twice her age. You've seen them, the ones where dad builds the whole thing while the kids watch...;)

I don't either as I work for a federal land management agency and don't want it to be "do as I say not as I do"...haha. The times off the trail were while doing mobile attack on a fire and then all bets are off according to policy...;) Even still, stay out of the creosote bushes and try not to run over turtles. They'll pop your tire before you know what happened, the bushes not the turtles, unless they are the ninja type.

I like the looks of the mid width.

Most of the time you just want to say ear muffs to all the kids because of all the profanities spilling out of his mouth...haha. Who thought you could bend a 1/2" nail with a toy hammer.
