Trump has a private detail.
There are things a private detail cannot do that the service can do- legally, so getting rid of them totally would not be possible or very practical- unfortunately. Legally the Service swings a big hammer as its function is outlined by US legal code. It’s not like a private PSD that must use negotiation, charm, or intimidation to get what they need. The Service gets it by law.
Unfortunately due to DEI the hiring process has been subverted and it’s not the organization it once was.
