Someone just tried to assassinate Trump

I agree that the woman's situational awareness was poor, but no one was knocked to the ground or even appeared to be off-balance. The officers came from the rear left of the vehicle (driver total blind spot) and the one who did the shooting walked partially in front of it for only a couple of seconds. This is all plain as day from video footage available today.

The vehicle turned to the right as the woman attempted to escape the confrontation at a slow crawl. The street was icy, with many ice patches.

It is difficult to imagine how a vehicle could achieve any velocity from a dead stop on a wet and icy street, and in fact it barely moved.

Given that there was no active altercation, there was no reason for the gun being taken out of its holster.

The woman was stupid for being in the area, but the officer is to blame for the unnecessary shooting.

How was the officer who was actively being hit by the car supposed to know which way the car was headed? He couldn’t s see the front tires as he was being pushed by the front bumper. She didn’t need a lot of velocity to kill or injure him a two ton vehicle is going to win I know from personal experience and carry the scars to prove it. When he started to approach the vehicle she was backing up then she put the vehicle in drive and accelerated striking the agent creating an active altercation. Most of the videos out are slowed down to show the altercation but it happened very quickly in real time.
The woman was stupid period.

What really bugs me about this dumb bitch is that the media keeps on going on and on about how she's a "mother" and who's going to take care of her kids now. Never mind that she and her "wife" were out behaving like jack asses on a work day (as in she's clearly jobless) and without a care about her kids.
She's the next George Floyd martyr. Both in Somalia too. Nuts.

The vehicle was coming right at him and actually hit him. He had prior been hit and dragged by another vehicle. There was reason for the gun being taken out of the holster.
I achieve much higher velocities while parking in my garage. And I am a careful and conservative driver!

What was the reason for taking the gun out of its holster?

Yesterday I learned that there is something called a "legal observer" who is a neutral, third-party witness who shows up to observe at protests. Apparently she was on of these.

Being a "legal observer" is rather like being a "service animal" for someone who needs the emotional support, or can otherwise afford the best for her dog.

Doesn’t matter what she was doing there, she was actively disobeying their orders and attempting to flee. In the process of that she struck an officer who has every right to fire on her to stop the attack. Shit, as a CCW holder, I can even shoot someone who is actively trying to hit me with a car.

You're right, Bob. You should head up there and lead the investigation.

You're the type of person that probably believes you need to be shot first before you can defend yourself.

Her former in-laws had nothing good to say about her. I feel like that speaks volumes.

Which is exactly why that agent shouldn’t have stood in front of the vehicle to provoke an action that would allow him to exact revenge from his previous experience of getting dragged by a car. Not everyone they do this to is going to try to run.

Interesting the number of police shootings per country but it doesn’t really tell much of a story. When we break it down by population we’re not even in the top ten. Now are police trigger happy in this coountry? Yes in some instances and we need accountability when that happens. But Venezuela or ElSalvador? Yeah sorry that dog don’t hunt.

The agent is a federal law enforcement officer rightly being where he was and doing his job. The pseudo martyr had no business being there anymore than the rest of the vigilantes who are harassing and interfering with ICE.

Agree with that one. My opinion is we just have more assholes than other countries, lol.

So you know law enforcement policies and procedures on scenarios like these? I don’t. The only people I’ve heard repeat your opinion are those defending the criminal.

All I'm saying is if you're wearing a mask and your camo pajamas with a velcro "police" patch on it, you might get met with a hail of bullets instead of someone just trying to leave rapidly. Fuckers look like cartel gangs. They need to fix that.

By nature of their work the agents are undercover officers. The masks are necessitated due to the radical vigilante mobs doxing the agents, threatening them and their families.

It's unAmerican and cowardly (in my opinion). (referring to the overt use of police-like force – obviously undercover agents don't wear ANY identifying clothing)

The closest I will get to understanding what to do in these types of situations was with a concealed carry class back from when I lived in Texas. I was taught the laws, both federal and state. But I was also taught to be aware that pulling that trigger will change my life forever, both financially and mentally. I may be defending myself afterward in both criminal and civil court, and it can wreck me financially. Point being – the officer can do everything right and still end up wrecked for life. Just my 2 cents that based on the video, he made the wrong call.
