Oregon is a really, really strange state. The landscape is beautiful but there are a lot of individuals living there that are detached from any kind of reality. The crazy people are largely concentrated in the Portland and Salem areas but not exclusively. I have visited the state many times and have friends in southern Oregon who are native born. Even they think the place is weird. After all what kind of state will not let you pump your own gas? Right New Jersey?
