they do not want any automation; they know it would cut manpower and make the ports far more efficient and possibly lead to lower costs for the companies using them

Pretty scary shit and what’s worse is there’s nothing that can be done about it now. Even if Trump wins, he’ll never be able to reverse what’s been done- they’ll block him at every turn at all costs.
