Correct, I found it after getting home in Colorado. The bolt had come loose (backed into the extended bump stop which kept it from falling out) and resulted in the control arm twisting the bracket. The outside plate of that mount then broke loose where it was welded to the flange of the axle. I bent everything back into place and added some additional plates to beef up the bracket and it got me through the year. I am going to add some additional metal soon in hopes to further strengthen it. Flimsy-ass brackets. We have another member here, H8ROADS, who also ripped the same one off his axle a year ago!!

Seems like that's a good bracket to replace with something stronger

Looks good. Did you still want to weld on that other aftermarket one or are you not going to worry about it? Personally I think since your first repair held up through Chinaman and Holy Cross, you'll probably be fine.

My thoughts exactly. As long as I don't follow Greer through Moab trails, I should be good to go!! HA!!!
 
Went to Panamint Valley and Death Valley last Thursday through Sunday to maximize our last weekend before heading to work. Literally flew into LAX morning of 1/2/2020 after 24 hours of traveling from Bali, packed up the rig, and headed to DVNP less than 12 hours later [emoji23]. Created this video to recap our adventure with fiend, clearskies, and astroman. Enjoy!
