Smokey needs some V8 power.

Not vice grips. BTW how did you hook up the disconnect switch on your battery? Very interesting. Also do you have the King Coilover bolt on kit?

I picked up that battery disconnect at Camping World. It is used on the negative post. I need to cut the power when I tow the Jeep behind my RV because the key is turned to the first position to unlock the steering. Required 2007 - 2009. If not, it will cause the battery to discharge over a long tow.
That's the bolt on coilover suspension kit from EVO Manufacturing. It uses King coilovers designed & valved for EVO.
You have a good eye, you spotted the vice grips. :)

Seriously? That's great news! You deserve some good fortune from the Jeep gods Moochie. You've had to put up with a lot of en route breakdowns in the last six months and you've done so without whining about it. Here's some :honey: towards a speedy, successful build for you.

I had to pay off the Jeep gods, they are so greedy. I hope they are happy now.
Thanks Sharkey!

I am saving up my pennies to upgrade my suspension as soon as SWMBO will allow for more mods.

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the Navy I have been trained to spot things which are out of the ordinary.

Thanks for the info.

Hey Moochie, out of curiosity, what's the total mileage on the jeeps undercarriage at the point she went in for a heart transplant?

Sent from my DROID RAZR using WAYALIFE mobile app

This is so cool watching Smokey and Moby getting simultaneous heart transplants. It'll be very interesting comparing notes on MPG and performance on and off road when both are finished and de-bugged. There are just enough differences between the two to make comparisons worthwhile for future builds.:yup:

^^^ totally agree! looking forward to both beasts being complete

I picked up a non-rubicon transfer case for Smokey. For this swap, with the GM 6L80 transmission, it is necessary to get rid of the rubicon 4:1 transfer case. The new tranny already has a 4:1 1st gear. Of course you can use an Atlas but, that would add more to the cost of the swap. I'll probably do this eventually.

Looks great Moochie. Keeping up with you and Eddie on the freeway now is going to be impossible - may cause a rash of engine swaps all by itself.

I'll be about 3 ft behind either at all times. I plan on having a tow bar installed and they can pull me along behind. Lol. 😂😉😂
