Sioux

This is good to read as I'm going this direction. 

Not kidding about the LoD stinger, I was getting ready to order one for my jeep and then while Mel and I were talking anew years ago he said he was coming out with one.......and I decided to support my friends company. Nothing wrong with the LoD at all!

But then I will NEED 37's.

Yep...you sure will! But...trust me, when that brown truck shows up with that PR sitting on a pallet all your pains will go away!:yup: Besides, 37's are cheaper so it's all down hill from there:wings:

Honestly, I like the EVO 1/4 just as much. But when I price it out, I save a few bills up front on the LOD and I also keep my fogs, which saves a few additional bucks on lighting/wiring down the road. While it's not EVO, I know LOD is not crap, which is most important. I'll be running EVO sliders/skins/Enforcer... so will still be representing! :yup:

thank you sir! a bunch of changes for SIOUX coming up: sports cage, RUBI44 axles, big brakes, LoD stinger, NITTO T/Gs JKX 2014 here I come!!! :thumb:

New tires?!?! Well I will add you to the list sir. ;) I'm waiting for some guy to give me his wheels first though. I use the word give, because the guy is super cool like that. :cheesy::cheesy:

Why do you have to represent EVO? Just get what you like and want. Unless they pay you or give you stuff for free. :idon'tknow:

I definitely agree, and that's how I roll. The only thing I have not paid full price for on my rig are my front fenders off of EVO1 (the install labor was full price though) Its also one of the things I like about how Off Road Evolution runs their shop, they will sell any mfg's kit you like and even install it on your rig. They don't just sell/install EVO mfg's parts. Two totally seperate businesses!

But there are tons of companies, that even if they sponsored my jeep, I would not run it. Free ain't always good.

Variety is a good thing in any group. I think what most of us agree upon is that quality is just that, it's not owned by one Manufacturer, quality parts is all that counts to me.

If I was still running Land Rovers, I would still be purchasing ARB bumpers and Old Man Emu suspensions. I like their gear for that vehicle line up, and it's quality. Buy what YOU like.

Disclaimer: I am payed non-attorney spokesperson for Off Road Evolution, EVO mfg, Land Rover, ARB, Old Man Emu, Subway, and General Mills Cereals. Not to be used without prior consent of non-attorney spokesperson by irresponsible land owners of Iceland, Burkina Faso, and certain parishes of Luxemburg.

Re: SIOUX - the build

i really like my LoD front bumper, and will like it more when I gets me the stinger! that being said, i really like my EXP ONE rear bumper as well. i am not a huge fan of it being full length, but do like it function and stability. i would like to modify/fab the corners to match the body lines, but not sure if that will weaken the bumper??? if not, it will be bumperless and carrier (but not anytime soon!)

stop hijacking my threads for your own personal gains!!! :D

Re: SIOUX - the build

so I HATED the fact that my OEM cage covers had faded to a "light purple" color and did not want to spend the money on new ones (that are gonna fade as well) so I tried my look at Duplicolor Fabric Paint (flat black)...

It turned out good. Not as perfect as I might have wanted, but all I did to prep the covers was hit them with the air compressor. I didnt not want to try to wash them and have them fall apart on me. But the black came out even and looks so much better than what I had going on there before.

It's called a figure of speech. Kind of like how snorkles has the EVO decal to "represent (AKA Support)," or did they pay you to put that there? :cheesy::cheesy: Obviously I'm getting what I like and want and can fit in my overall build budget.

Now back to the regular scheduled program.....
