Should I get a JL or JT

I stopped doing bulk the end of August. I got tired of their BS. They didn't really want us to go home, I was out for 6 weeks at a time and I put in to go home and 4 hours after I got home they were calling saying they needed me to load the next morning. That happened every time. And about a month after I left one of the dispatchers quit because he couldn't get a day off

OK guys since I have a JLUR with the 4 cylinder 2.0 turbo and having to run high octane gas, and since gas prices are going up I'm really considering trading it in. Now should I get another JLUR or a Gladiator. Since I have gotten a lot of things for my JL that I haven't installed yet I'm thinking of another JLUR. What are everyone's thoughts on this. Thanks in advance

You don’t halve to run premium in the 2.0. I run regular in mine 90% of the time and it’s totally fine. If I’m going to be towing I’ll throw e-free premium in it but it’s not needed even fca agrees.

Our 2020 owner's manual says 87 is fine so we used it from the beginning. But it was pinging up hills. When we switched to 91, the pinging went away.

Interesting I have a 2020 jlur Maybe the temp difference.
 
It can. This last project I worked on was 15 sheets of drywall (4 x 8) and the JT handled them all in one trip. You just leave the tail gate in the propped position and add a couple of pieces of wood in the bed inserts.

When I did my closet built-ins, I also hauled I think 12 or so sheets of 3/4” red oak ply with the tailgate up. Testing out the wooden spoiler options I guess. Lol.

IMHO, a JL is a much better option. I may be biased because I'm a hardcore Wrangler guy, but here's my :twocents:

A JT's wheelbase is just too damn long, and one on 37s is equivalent to a JLU on 35s. If I got a JT I'd have to get coilovers, 60s front and rear, and 40s at least to make it as capable as my Wranglers or others'. It's totally your call obviously, but even though I think it looks badass, a Wangler is just a better wheeler and gets better MPG. (If you care about that lol) It all depends on how much you wheel for me, as I look at the JT as too long for the kind of wheeling I do. A JT is still very capable, stock, 35s, 37s, or even 40s, but not AS capable as a Wrangler with any of those setups.

Plus, all of my friends are trading their Wranglers for JTs - and I'm becoming a lone wheeler with my ultra rare :)cheesy:) 2 door JK.

I’m with you, I love my Gladiator but it’s no Wrangler, the reason I bought another Wrangler. I’m driving the truck less and less these days. It’s cool but it’s no Wrangler. Now many will disagree with me but I think it also helps we have a full-size pickup too.
