From what I've read, it looks like an aftermarket steering wheel. I'm guessing when they put it on they just didn't bother wiring up the horn or rid it incorrectly. Either way, I have a working horn, it's just not the steering wheel. So it's moved down on the priority list till I take care of some other things.Awesome Scott, I missed the start of this yesterday! Congrats on being part of the scrambler family! The horn definitely is operated by the center of the steering. When that pressure sensor goes it's a bit of a project disassembling the steering wheel to get it. If it's the wiring inside the column that's a whole different battle. Were you able to track it down?

So no need to pull steering wheel? Looked like that required a special Steering Wheel PullerView attachment 269447
This is a shot of the horn sensor on the steering behind the cap. The three screws come out and the wires are behind. You can start chasing it from there.

Not sure. Definitely textured, like a powdercoat, but I don't think it is powdercoat. Is the paint like a crinkle coat paint or more of a Berliner product? Looks interesting. Looks like a solid starting point for your project

That moment you realize your new best friend might be living next doorSo cool. A beautifully restored one with a pickup bed / hard top just showed up in my neighbors driveway. I was like ...what's ...up?

Do it. Never hurts to ask and if he ever thinks to, you'll be the first he goes to!No doubt someone with good taste. Actually, wanted to knock on the door and see if they would sell it.
Yeah, seems to be the consensus that it should be in the steering wheel. Looks like an aft steering wheel which wasn't properly installed.
Yep, that's what mine looks like. So maybe the purposefully didn't wire it up. I may wait and see if I can find a stock steering wheel and wire it up to that. This be is gonna be cool to follow!
That steering wheel looks like its made by Grant. I had the exact same thing on my old 77 Ford pickup. If you pry off the cap there should be the same horn ring under it that is pushed up by a spring. Mine used to pop off all the time and the spring would fall out allowing the horn to blare continuously until you could get it assembled back in place. Quite fun while you were looking for the stupid spring rolling around on the floor somewhere and EVERYONE is looking at you like WTF man? :cheesy:
