The new kid on the block is looking badass. Once again you are setting the bar for what a capable daily driver can be. I was really impressed seeing RubiCat in action on the trail. I'm thinking the new EVO bolt on coilovers are probably going to be hard for Mel to keep in stock!

Man, jeep looks great you guys! Are those fenders chopped OEMs? I like the cut better than most OEM chops I've seen. Love my EVO long arm still btw. I get lots of compliments and the performance is incredible. Looking to cut fenders and run 37s.

based on all the emails and pm that i get about it everyday, yeah, i think mel's got a winner on his hands. :yup:

Eddie, can you gives us your impression of the new generation Trucklites? Any better than the legacy models?

they are better and, you can see my full review of them here:

hey there, long time no see!! glad to hear you're jeep is still rockin for you and yes, these are chopped oem fenders with my signature cuts.

What didn't work on it? The OEM pump? Also, would you recommend the hydro assist when running 37s with the new bolt on coilovers?

we weren't able to use the 07-11 PSC pump or reservoir and tried tapping into the stock setup to see if we could make it work - it didn't. while i am told that a new pump bracket should be out for the 2012 soon, there is little to no room to install a big reservoir or, without having to do some significant cutting under the hood. not sure how all this will be addressed but, whatever's the case, i hope it happens sooner than later. pushing 37's or bigger without a psc is a lot of work.

I agree, I really had to rev the motor in Moab to turn the 37's on the slick rock. I don't remember it being this bad with my 07

Eitherway I dont see the stock steering lasting to long

How are new Evo rear coil overs and what size are them?

the rear new coil overs are proprietary to evo and yield a total of 11.25" of travel. we like them a lot but, will most likely try fine tunning them a bit more for our personal taste.

You talking ride quality on road? Or something else? Sorry to keep probing you about these things man, just trying to make my decision with as much info as I can get...

yes, we'd like to tweek the "on road" ride quality a bit. knowing we would drive rubicat hard and fast, we purposefully set it up firm to eat up big whoops but, for on pavement driving, it feels a bit too firm. fortunately, these are coil overs and adjustments can be made :yup:

Right now my shocks are limiting my down travel, so to buys buying res. shocks opossed to those Evo Coil Overs ? Options wayoflife?

res shocks will only help keep your shocks from fading during heavy use, there is nothing in and of themselves that will help give you more travel. when it comes to travel, coil overs are the only way to get it.

yep, pretty happy with the way it performs with the 4.10s. also, don't want to put any more money into the stock axles then needed.....saving for 60s :D

yeah, I was thinking along the same lines. I'm in no rush to regear

I did notice it performs better here than in Moab.

Kampa just drove my JK and couldnt believe how quick it is with 37's and 4:10's/

i think that on a 6-speed, the performance is a bit off but, not by much. i'm pretty sure that sean p. holeman is running 4.88's and is quite happy on his 2012 with a 6-speed.
