Wayalife can you put us on the maybe list. We're planning to do the white rim road right before this, so I'm not sure about timing. Maybe we can do a big loop after Utah and hit this awesome event up on our way back home to so cal.

Looks like fun. Do you have room for a 1953 M38A1 (with a few mods)? No sides or doors - just a soft bikini top; so if it looks like bad weather or real cold - I would chicken out. I would drive, or trailer up from the Napa Valley assuming I could leave my truck and trailer at the hotel during the day. Could you please send more details about lodging, where/when to meet, what to bring - do I need to bring a stove, provisions, cooking gear, etc. Thanks. My direct email is p38@fcs.net

Ladies and gentlemen - boys and girls, it's that time of year again and Cindy and I are happy to announce that the one and only ROKTOBERFEST will be taking place in Carson City, Nevada on the weekend of Saturday, October 22nd! As always, this will be a fun filled event with rock crawling by day and partying with good friends well into the night. Also, because so many of our awesome trails are right here in town or just outside of it, there's plenty of great lodging to be found at one of the many hotel casinos we have in the area. We are still hammering out the details and more information will be posted up as soon as they become available but if you'd like to join us, please let us know by posting up on this thread.
For those of you who haven't seen it before, the video below will give you an idea of the kind of fun we like to have.

Jim was able to hook us up with great room deals over at Wyndam Max Casino! They have 34 rooms left and the normal rate for this weekend is $139. Call them up and say “Rocktoberfest” and you'll get a rate of $89 a night! Call now 1 775-883-0900. Make sure to mention "Rocktoberfest" :yup:

Not sure if southwest fly's from where your at but I've always seen them as the cheapest. Typically just from their site.
