Rausch Creek Trip 12-14

What's up guys? Been away for a bit healing. Looks like we're gonna be in for another epic trip. Madness and I are going to put my leveling kit on Saturday so hopefully not as much rubbing this time. Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone and some newbies soon.

Leveling kit by who? Sounds good. Can't wait to see everyone again. Good times.

Made by Teraflex 2 inch pucks in the front 1 inch in the back

Hey, I was thinking of adding about another inch of lift. I currently have 2 1/2 suspension lift by AEV. I have two questions:
1- what should I go with that would best suit my current set-up?
2- is there any down side to adding a 1" body lift to my current set-up..?

Thanks.

Yea, don't add a body lift, really bad idea from a stability and center of gravity standpoint. Ideally you want the lowest possible lift with the most ground clearance and least overall height gain.
Add some spring spacers and be done with it. But more importantly why more lift? Bigger tires? Body lift obviously won't give you clearance. Add an inch spacer front and back and you're all set. And low cost.

Yeah, I figured a body lift wasn't the best route. Ideally, I would LOVE to run 37's..!! But...
1- my tires are still in good shape. Don't really need new tires.
2- the cost of upgrades (re-gear to 4.56/ 4.88) to "properly" run 37's on my rig is not in my current budget.

I love my current lift. Just feeling out other options for concurring larger obstacles w/ minimal body damage. Lol.

I've been looking at the Teraflex speed bump bump stops. Does anyone have an input/ experience with these or King bump stops...? I was looking at ways to improve my current suspension set-up. I've seen YouTube vidz & they look like they really work well at what they meant to do.

Read Eddies thoughts on tf speedbumps. He took them off. I think he said 1" before the speedbump hit the bumpstop and then the ride was harsh as shit.
The Kings are crazy $$$, could think of a lot of other ways to spend that kind of chang and improve my rig.

Really..? Eddie? As in Ed (madness)?

The kings are expensive. There's a special going on for a set for the front for $485 shipped. I'm just trying to get an idea for my "build list". I'm not getting anything right now.

Oh btw usmc, I was in that group so sorry that happened man. Are you the one who had the daughter in the back watching scooby doo?

I believe ed is referring to yours truly. And beggers can't be choosers, I stole them off my wifes rig after I made a bad financial decision to trade in my new chevy 2550 to buy a third jeep.

What's on your list? Do tell, I love hearing about people dumping cash into their hobbies. Makes me feel better about dumping 2 grand into my junk the last two days.

No. That wasn't me. I had the 13' Blk JKU w/ the red "WAL" windshield banner. You can't miss my rig, NY tags w/ "USMC" on them. Lol. It's all good. I made it out just fine. Although, that was my first "real" wheeling trip. I learned a lot & applied it in that (lonely) moment to navigate my way out. Lol
