RAUSCH CREEK TRIP 10/26-10/27 (GREENS/BLUES with a touch of BLACKS)

Guess who's Warn Zeon just got delivered today! My diff covers should be here tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'm out of town this weekend and have 2 papers to write. Looks like those papers are going to suck, because I've got some wrench turning to do!

On a side note, I am a little concerned about the loss of lift I now have in the front of my rig after hanging an 80 lb. bumper and the 98 lb. winch (~1" to 1.5"). I may be hanging tight with the BSBC the whole time and waving goodbye as the rest head off to Tata's (the scene of the OEM bumper carnage last trip). I will miss Mrs. Madness' Hill, though! That was a lot of fun to drive.

Now that I have the essentials armored, the questions turn to which lift and how high. I already know I want to run 35's. I'm sure the opinions will be flying around the fuego Friday and Saturday nights.

Sweet congrats on the winch

Tom

I have an XRC bumper/E9000 winch and running the RK 2.5" flex system. You'll wind up with 3" lift in from and back with all the extra weight (I did on a 2-door and also run a heavier spare tire w/stock bumper). The only scraping I got was from the bottom of the rear shock towers. Two weeks later I did more difficult blues/purples and again the scraping was on the lower rear shocks (on one occasion I thought I had ripped my rear bumper but after checking it on a lift, it was the right rear shock tower).

You can also run up to 37" tires with flat fenders.

Didn't look at your profile before I started typing so not sure if you have a 2 or 4 door.

Are we splitting into groups or one big line?

I have a feeling that we might have to split in 2 groups, the fact that every dick and harry's jeep club is coming out on this date, will make it more difficult to get a long line of jeeps running smoothly.
I guess saturday morning will see how crowded it is and how many jeeps we have and start with 2 groups (BLACK/BLUES) and (GREENS/BSBC).:twocents:

Also this is a good reminder for future trips that is Best to pick a weekend in the middle of the month like the run on 9/14/13..there was barely anyone there.:yup:

Pawranglers will be up to but on sunday. I think the only time we were up there that and had any traffic issues was when ejs was there at the same time. For those that weren't there the whole parking lot was full and I mean the whole parking lot. We managed ok though.

This is starting to sound like a great time to try RC's other property (across the street) that we keep talking about. Was it the 'northeast property'?

Suggest we still stage up as usual and make a game day decision.

I'm curious what that's all about myself. Last trip I went was the ford raptor races on that property id love to check it out too

I don't always wheel , but when I do I keep it tight......... Stay dirty my friends.

I think 2 groups is good anyway. Also, going where it looks like fewer people will be. Paying an extra $10 is no big deal to me, especially if we get more trails or don't have people getting pissed at us:twocents: Either way, it will still be a good time

north property can be fun, quite a few good blues that are sort of hidden since i dont think many people go over there
