Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Got this project subaru (the fun type, not the butch lesbian type) I've been working on. Been chasing a P0171 lean code for awhile. Comes and goes. Fuel pressure is good so I decided to get out the smoke machine. Never would have found this had I not. Bottom of one of the pipes rubbed through on the clutch slave cylinder bolt. To make matters worse, someone has tried to fix this previously by putting a fricking hose clamp over a previous hole in the same spot.

Solid repair job, butch. Lol

Replaced the dishwasher since its circuit board burned out. Apparently the person who installed the original is either dumb, can’t read, or just didn’t care. Because they mismatched the white and black wires when it was installed.

Is this a 230v circuit? If so, the center wire seems most important to get right. What am I missing?

2 years ago I had to grit my teeth & buy a 2023 Crosstrek Sport for my wife. They're just too practical for the conditions around here, and Subaru wasn't playing the markup games other Dealers were at the time (looking at you Toyota and Honduh).

It's been a fantastic car in all aspects, and I'm very impressed with it. Easily in the same category with mopeds and fat chicks. (y)

My family had many for years in the mountains of Colorado. It's a no-brainer. I remember going to a dealership with my dad and there were no salesmen outside. We had to find one at a desk. My dad asked him why they weren't outside preying on people like vultures like dealerships normally do. Salesman said, "We don't have to. The cars sell themselves and people trust us here. We have plenty of business and don't work that way."

Exactly. I have never heard of one. The cable provided is more suitable for a stove or heater. But one leg of it can be used.
I should mention that it is normal to use a 20A 120v circuit, preferably with a dedicated breaker. Using a doubled breaker (intended for a 240v appliance) is wasteful, and it is possible/likely that it violates the National Electrical Code if the cable only feeds a 120v appliance.

All joking aside, our experience with the dealer was very much the same. And it's probably the best car we've ever owned...

Well, maybe tied the 98' CRV-4WD my son tried unsuccessfully to kill throughout his teenage years, along with several previous owners. I guess there's a reason why you can't swing a salmon around here without hitting one of those old things. Lol...

Not sure what you mean it’s a regular 120v plug and 120 outlet. I just noticed I was backwards and figured it was the case since the others circuit board was fried.
The photos are confusing then. The gray bonded cable with three conductors looks like what I have seen for a 240v circuit (such as for a stove). AC does not have polarity but it is expected that the neutral and ground conductor are bonded at the service entrance panel.
