Working on my 2013 Impala. Front end needed pretty much everything replaced.
Hubs
Lower Control Arm Bushings/Ball Joints (complete arms with bushings and ball joints were only a few dollars more than the parts separately)
CV Shafts
Sway bar end links
Engine and Transmission mounts (completely worn out) Engine sits about an inch higher now.
Intermediate Shaft from transaxle to right side cv shaft.
I replaced the steering links last year.
The only things that aren't worn out are the struts.
 
When you wife wants more storage and you refuse to pay the insane mark up at Ashley Furniture. Break out some tools and spend the weekend in the garage and enjoy a few beers.

That's a fact. We had seen one that was similar to it but smaller and it was $1800. This matches our bedroom furniture like it was part of the set. Just a few power tools and a little grind. Absolutely better built than what my wife was looking at. She was blown away at the money saved.

What!! $1800!! For what’s similar to yours that’s crazy!! Just shows how much mark up is and also (IMO) the companies using inflation to drive up prices even more. At the looks of it you’ll be building more furniture in the future. haha

Unfortunately I believe your right. Who knows maybe that will be a good retirement gig. None the less it was very satisfying to see my vision completed. Thank God my dad owned a construction company and trusted me with power tools at a young age and the fact that we had wood shop as a class in school. Might have just dated myself there seeing as kids today can't even read cursive much less use power tools.
