That’s also what I did to avoid taping the seams. But since a towel rack is going to screw into the patch I didn’t want to rely only on paper and mud to hold it in.

Yeah a drywall guy showed me this and it works great for really light imperfections and getting that final blend into existing texture.

Thanks. My wife picked them out. I didn't think they would work because we have a lot of updated features, recessed lighting, etc, but they turned out cool IMO as well.
