I am 100% self-trained for software. Actually an electrical engineer (with a classical Engineering ciriculum) according to my degree, and that is the job I primarily did for some years. But I was learning how to program prior to college.

Yeah when my son started his degree path at VT they didn’t have computer engineering or software engineering he was on track for his EE degree until his jr year when they offered the computer/software engineering degree.
