Agree with the laughing stock but by far wasn’t one man that made it that way. At least I had a stable job the past 4 years along with cheap gas prices. Everyday living has been pretty good. We’ll see what the next 4 years brings.

You honestly think people in Afghanistan or Vietnam or etc etc etc really think we are the laughing stock?

It’s a phrase I detest more than most. And one I’m hypocritical of saying also only to be taken aback to realize. If we can even utter those words just shows how good we have it in this country. WE are the worlds leading enforcer. WE are the worlds leader for humanitarian efforts. WE are not a laughing stock. We are however hashing out some drama at the moment and will continue to serve the world better than any other country.

No one is more happy than Russia & China...anything that helps democracies crumble is good news to them...and yes, they are raising glasses right now, and laughing with glee.

The right to protest is a cornerstone of our democracy...and something that is not tolerated in some other countries...but just like Seattle and Portland, violent protest cannot be allowed...ever.

Violence is unfortunate, but what about 1776? We wouldn't here in this great nation if not for that. And no I'm not endorsing violence.

And what's happening at the capital right now goes way beyond Trump. We The People have been losing trust of our government for decades as individual liberty erodes and rightfully so.

It’s way bigger than what happened in Oregon, Kentucky, Minnesota.

These people have a problem with the government and are taking it up with the government. Not burning down cities and robbing Nike stores.

One of the real travesties in all of this goddam mess is the fact that in 2020, there is not an election in any of our 50 states that can be audited and proved one way or the other. None. For it to get to this point is a crime.
After EVERY election there should be an automatic audit performed to validate the entire vote and process. Moving forward that is the only way anyone is going to accept any election in our country as valid. This MUST be done or it will only get worse.

EDIT: We are two months into this fiasco. Two months! In that amount of time why hasn't any state, or even a county, VOLUNTARILY appointed a bi-partisan group to validate their vote and tell Trump to shove it - here are the facts. To this date I have not seen any investigative information turn up that proves the election ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.

Why is that?

There were multiple audits in GA, including a hand count of all the ballots in the presidential election. It seems pretty clear that whether one regards such measures as reliable depends upon whether the underlying outcome is what one wants. Put another way, the losers will never be satisfied.

That’s quite an idiotic statement. Not surprised you’re one of the first to rush in and claim “trump supporters storming and shots fired”.

There’s not even trash being left on the ground, but today the national guard has to be called in while all 2020, it was “just peaceful protesters”. All the cheating, lying, and outright theft by the democratic socialist party was always going to lead to massive division.

To be clear, I don’t agree with breaking things in the Capital or taking trophy pictures behind Members desks, etc. It does not appear that was the majority of the massive crowd today. Unfortunately the left, mainstream media and social media gods have taken away any form of medium for any voice who does not wholly agree with the will of the far left.

The claims of today’s events as “terrorist, sedition, insurrection, etc only continues to inflame and create further division and distrust.

I admit I didn't see that. If the audits are done with a bi-partisan group then there is no choice to accept the vote. That's shut up time. But I have to ask, were these done in the disputed areas?

They were done by the pertinent GA officials, including the Secretary of State, who identify as Republicans.
