Project ACCUAIR

Hey Eddie, how long do you think the stock JT drive shafts will last before needing to replace them? Or, should 1350s be part of the build plan at the start?
Honestly, the rear should last for quite a while. If you do a lot of wheeling with big flex, the front would need to be replaced sooner than later.

LOL - Been driving the ACCUAIR Gladiator through a blizzard for hours today. Check out the air bag and really, everything 🤪

Just watched a couple of videos for installation on a JL. Actually looks easier than a standard lift as you don't have to fight the new, taller springs in.

Looks like the wiring and air tubing is easy to install, just a pain in the butt getting it ran where it's safe and securing all the lines.

The compressor/tank and bracket will need a floor jack to hold in place as you start the bolts to secure it all.

Setting #2, the default ride height, is what the system will put you back to and automatically IF you were to lower your Jeep to the bump stops or raise it to the maximum height, setting #3 and only if you start driving 25 mph or faster. IF you select setting #1, it will stay there permanently, even if you turn off your engine or start it up again. They only time it will go back to setting #2 is if you press #2.
So if you use #1 for all your daily and highway driving, should the alignment be redone at this height? My assumption is that since #2 is the default setting, that is where the optimal alignment was initially set.

Also, this thread has been a real interesting read for someone like myself considering the Accuair lift. Thanks for doing this. I also need to go back and look at all your videos on the Accuair JT again. Hopefully will make a decision before the end of the month to go with the Accuair or not.

Honestly, the height difference between 1 and 2 isn't enough to affect your steering or handling or at least, to warrant an alignment change.

After posting my question, i read the install doc and saw that the geometry with the new control arms is based on the default height.

Thanks for your feedback since i would likely use setting #1 for daily driving.

P.S. Eddie also answered my question here at 7:53 into the video:

I should have reviewed all the vids again before posting.
