Just few weeks ago, most Android devices were added to Google's "Find my device" network, which captures the location of every detected device and sends it to Google for storage. Opting out (for which they provided just 3 days) was pointless since all other devices would be reporting for your devices location.

And today, Google notified me that they will capturing all entered addresses. If they provided a way to opt-out, I did not spot it.

At this point I would trust a Chinese company more than our own monopolies.

if find my device has been installed and activated, you can still opt out.

On your Android device - Settings- Google (services) - Find my Device and turn it off.

pisses me off when they do this shit with automatic opt-in, let me choose to opt-on, don't make me look for a way to opt-out.

As I mentioned, all the other Android devices will be reporting your device's location, regardless of if you opt out. Only mother Google knows if your phone has opted out, and your Bluetooth devices will never be opted out. That is why I say it is pointless.

We do not even know what the FISA orders currently are regarding domestic data collection given that they are top secret. Besides Google (and it's many business partners) having access to this data, a top secret FISA order might also deliver it to the government.

We are supposedly granted freedom of association by the Constitution, but this is potentially hindered by analysis in huge data centers, which continually connect all the dots (location, Web site visits, etc).

This was already being done as the cell phone replaced the land line, location, maps, accessing any web/social content etc... track location, but with changes in technology over the years has made it easier, consolidated the data to allow more accuracy and IMO the government has had their grubby paws in it from day one "in order to protect you"

You only hear the government bitch about it when they get the reins pulled in, but we all know that's not happening; big tech allows access because they don't want to deal with the possibility of their dirty deal with the government being exposed - as if it's some big secret.

The tech generation doesn't care, that's why they're so easily manipulated into accepting the socialist ideology/green shit we are dealing with today. They've never known free thinking freedom...

For the second time in 4 years, the State of Indiana sends me an assessment form saying I didn't pay Income Taxes owed for the previous year.

For the second time in 4 years I have gotten copies of the canceled check, with THEIR deposit info on the back showing date, time, and amount deposited. Then went searching for their boilerplate Appeal Form, filled in all the appropriate information and stuffed in an envelope along with the copies of cancelled check to mail back to them on MY dime.

Then I'll get a letter, "Oops, our bad, but you still owe us the penalty and interest" NO I DON'T. I paid on time, I paid the right amount on time, I'm NOT going to pay you more for you FUCKING UP AGAIN!

I'm pretty sure I've posted this before but I'm really getting pissed off with Amazon saying they can have something by a specified time, will show that it shipped, will later show that it's been processed, out for delivery and then... REPEAT.

I got rid of Sirius when they added the damn DJ's to every channel. Dumbasses, I pay for satellite so I can have just music. Who gives a shit what the DJ did this past weekend - GTFO my music.

I have that happen too and every time I return the item. I will reorder the same thing but I always return it. Screw me I’ll screw you lol

this seems to be the norm, I ordered it to get it early the next day then it becomes afternoon, next day ... sorry doesn't cut it since Amazon has raised the membership rate!

I can see that. I know that would be the case if I shipped to our Pizen property.

Anyway, I did what you said what you would do and cancelled my order. I then went to my local Tractor Supply and found what I needed there. Should have just gone there to start with :rolleyes:

I still use Amazon but I’ve been ordering more from the source lately if it’s something I can’t get locally. Sometimes they offer free shipping but a bit slower, I can deal with that.

I just got rid of it after my rate skyrocketed, I wish they would change up the music more often too instead of it being on a constant cycle of the same songs…

After I got rid of it, they started blowing up my phone and sending me so many letters trying to get me back 🙄
