P0303….At the end of my patience and wallet

This may not be possible for you but... There's an exceptional diagnostic technician about 300 mi from you in Avoca. His YT channel is South Main Auto. He does some impressive troubleshooting on difficult issues, very technically competent. If I were in your shoes I would consider making the trek. I've burned many hours watching him solve oddball problems that other shops are unable to. In one of his videos he troubleshoots a P0303 on a 2017 Wrangler.
I’ll check his channel out for sure. Thanks.

Just curious, did you find a resolution?
Not totally. I put a new plug in and also realized my battery terminal was little loose on the negative side. I tightened that down. Still getting misfire data after the jeep is warmed up and only when not driving at speed. I have a new fuel injector as well as a new injector coil clip on order and will swap them out next weekend. If after that I still have this problem then I’m out. lol.

FINAL UPDATE: replaced the fuel injector on cylinder 3 and also installed a new clip on the ignition coil so it locks down properly. Two test drives and ZERO MISFIRES! Fingers crossed this it the fix but it’s a jeep. You never know if the check engine is gonna come back on in a few weeks. Lol.
Thanks for adding the conclusion, good for future visitors. Glad you got it fixed. 👍

Absolutely. Hope it helps someone in the future. The fuel injectors can start to go but not enough to throw a code. I know you can test with a multimeter to see if one is bad. I just chose to order one and replace it just in case since getting to it to even test was a chore. Took another ride and all is well so I think it’s safe to say the issue is fixed. Good luck to anyone dealing with a misfire. They can be a real PITA to remedy.

Injectors are tough to test because if they're plugged or leaking into the cylinder, they can still test OK electrically.

I can see this as being the case. Since I was not getting a code for the injector. I watched a video on YouTube and the guy tested an injector with a multimeter and the result came up indicating that it was bad. Guess it’s hit or miss. I tried so many things and for me, this was the last attempt before I threw in the towel. Just glad it worked. The job wasn’t that bad to boot. Hope the other injectors don’t shit the bed. lol.
