I saw this at my local cars and coffee last month, it was sweet. Good luck with your build, it should turn out really nice!

Pretty badass that you're doing all the motor work yourself. Of course, working on a low tech motor like this can be fun.

Thanks I've learned quick, my dad left so I get to put it all back together!

Still cleaning the surface for prep to reinstall. Parts will be here Monday..

I always thought the side opening was for air flow. Turns out, it's the only way to work on the valves. So after removing the wheel, my fat as has to fit in here. Needless to say, it was a one arm install.

I got it running yesterday, but I have water leaking out of the exhaust stud I replaced, so it looks like I need to tear it back down !!

So close..

Sorry to hear about the tear down but I always get excited when this thread shows up in new posts - Very cool project :thumb:

I should be quicker the second time around.

It runs really smooth, long as I can get it sealed back up. I'll be happy.

Hopefully this weekend. It's pisses me off, I missed the issue. I don't realize the stud went into a water passage. It also passes through the exhaust port. Fingers crossed it can be fixed with ease. I had to helicoil the stud in place.

Pulled the intake back off, removed the stud and applied Red RTV . No leaks!

Runs great! Amazing how well it runs. No hiccups, backfires. It's really smooth
