A 600 mile adventure!
While everyone was out wheeling at Hidden Falls this weekend, the Texas Rangers hosted the firefighter appreciation game this weekend at Globe Life Park. We'd been planning to go to this game for a while, but we also thought that since it would be a little easier, we would shoot down I45 to Houston and pick up Tom(tdougherty81)'s 35s and 16 inch wheels. We decided to make a long trip out of it!
Loading up getting ready to leave east Texas.

Stopping for gas, I noticed my ride was rough and my gas mileage was horrible. Checked my tire pressure and found it to be in the 40s! Wow! Dropped the pressure and got a much better ride.

Arriving at the hotel, Steel found it very cozy in underground parking.

We ended up taking a cab to the ballpark, but we had great seats!

DAY 2: Time for the second(and longer) leg of our trip. Headed south to Houston!

Headed south!

Finally making it, we met up with Tom and he helped us load up Steel's new set of wheels. It was an incredibly tight fit! One which would make us mount one as the spare and remove the rear window.

And finally home!

All of that for these!
These are MB TKOs with BF Goodrich KO2s in the size of the 315/75/16. These tires are bigger than I expected measuring unmounted at 34 inches. My KO2s in the size of 35x12.50r17 only measured 33.5. They came complete with TPMS and the discount tire road hazard certs. The best part is the Hidden Falls dirt and mud came for free with them.
And so, quicker than expected, this officially begins STAGE TWO!
