sometimes subtle details like that are understandably missed.
Oh, I agree that sometimes details are missed. I can find no fault in such a statement. Let's look at some details then shall we? You posted the following on
December 11, 2013:
Got all the pics taken. Just have to type it all up. Went great and gear pattern came out excellent, as far as I could tell. Honestly, anyone can do it. Just a few special tools needed and patience. Swapping shims back and forth to get it perfect is the time consuming part...it's not difficult. You just have to be persistent. Sorry for my crappy timeline... between kids, the brake project, and this, I just stretched myself a little thin. :sigh:
Pics are done, though (and ALOT of them...) and came out great. Will get to typing it up soon.
Months afterwards you had still not finished your ring and pinion writeup yet you continued to ramble on about brake system summaries. Are you simply : a real slow typist, don't actually know what you're talking about,
enjoy teasing people, or just completely full of shit.
Again - the ones that said nothing throughout my research, not a word when I mentioned terrible family issues, but were the first to jump in and criticize, and with plenty of sarcasm and personal attacks.
That's funny, I feel like I've offered plenty of brake kit solutions and pointed out where to buy individual parts to build the kit your way. Some of us just choose not to write fifteen summaries on brake system design.
Interestingly enough, the Road Race Motorsports kit that replaced all four corners was available in 2012.
The Baer brake kit was available near the end of 2013. Both brake kits were easily found after about five minutes of Internet searches.
As in all communities, there are bad eggs.
That's a very astute observation.
Do you mean like people who promise things, post teaser pics, give tips and yet still fail to put forth anything of real value?
I also ruined one brand new Reid Racing knuckle when I went out on a limb to have it machined, trying to find a solution, which didn't work out.
You had to machine a steering knuckle for this project? How is that part of a cheap, free, or easy solution? That makes no fucking sense.
Fourth, I never have tried to keep things a secret. I simply didn't want to throw a half-assed idea out there, have some of you start buying parts, and then run into a problem. I discussed many specific options early on that I eliminated, so I have been disclosing. I was trying to save people from wasting money (and instead only throwing away my own at times), and more importantly, performing an untested mod and possibly creating an unsafe condition for you and/or your family, or others on the road. I don't know why this became such a point that caused such repeated personal attack against me. I've never sought profit or personal gain and made that VERY clear from the first post.
You didn't keep
secrets, but you refused to tell anyone what you actually did or disclose what parts you used. Did you think about that contradiction before typing it up? Something that might have helped this project out would be having other people actually involved and testing out what does and doesn't work. And if for whatever reason one is unable to finish said work another can continue forward. You would think that in a community that it would be better to involve the ideas and work of others. But I suppose that you just care about us so damn much and are so benevolent that you wouldn't want anyone (or trust anyone) else to spend their time on such a project. One of use lowly serfs might make a mistake and you just can't let that happen. Does that really make any sense? If the U.S. government could allow Oppenheimer in on the Manhattan Project perhaps you too could share your "work" with someone else?
Lastly, I never claimed to be an expert.
No shit Sherlock, you've already said that numerous times. Can you please stop flattering yourself now?
Yep, as computeruser6 found, a few other companies have since come out with a product to address our JK braking woes. I'm not a company. Much less a BRAKE PRODUCT company, whose sole purpose for existing is to produce braking products.
Another fine observation. Interestingly enough, there were many fine solutions that existed before your non-existent list of part numbers for a brake kit.
I only replied because I felt that a few have found a strange interest in attacking my character. My prior reply may have been blunt and offended some, and I apologize. I'm sure some of you, however, would understand how frustrating it feels when someone, especially someone you don't even know, takes the time to repeatedly attack your character or claims to know your intentions, and they are completely wrong. (can be applied to so much in life)
You made it pretty easy to attack your character. Besides, it's not as if that many people questioned or had any criticism of you.
It's pretty hard to trust your stated intentions when you post up teaser pics and proclaim that you finished the project yet over a year later have still produced nothing of real value. It really just seems like you have contempt for those who wasted their time reading the threads you started just to find that you've brought no meaningful conlusion to anything. Everything you've done has about as much logic as a Michael Bay film. Speaking of illogical actions, contempt for the audience, and just generally not making any sense:
